Lobster floors Robbie Williams

ROBBIE Williams will be steering clear of LOBSTER for a while after a brutal bout of food poisoning.

The Take That star has spent the past 72 hours running to the bathroom on tiptoes and shouting for his pal Huey down the pan.

The manband had been due to play the second of two dates in Copenhagen's Parken stadium on Saturday night but had to pull out at the last minute.

In an official statement the lads said Robbie had been left unable to perform because of food poisoning.

And Bizarre can reveal it was "grilled Danish black lobster with lobster salad and saffron aioli" to blame for leaving him with a bottom like the Japanese flag. In a brief moment when he wasn't on the khazi, he posted this pic and a message on his blog yesterday.

He said: "Hey folks. Thank you for your messages and love. I'm not completely out of the woods yet but feeling much better.

"Gutted for everyone involved with the tour. Feeling dreadful for letting the fans down. I'm so, so sorry. Here's me and my drip."

Robbie has ended up with dehydration and in need of the drip because he has lost so much fluid.

A source said: "It hasn't been pretty. It's all down to a dodgy lobster he ate at a hotel. Jason and Mark wanted to go ahead and do it without him, so as not to let down the fans. But there was something to do with the insurance that stopped them. I think they would have had to pay back on the tickets if people there said they wanted to see Robbie and they'd done the gig without him. They are in Amsterdam tomorrow and I think everyone is just hoping he'll be well enough to perform then."

Robbie might need a cork and a serious dose of Imodium first.

The bar 'n' grill terrace at the hotel where Robbie ate boasts plenty of seafood on its menu. But as Gary always says, stick to the club sandwiches on tour.

Robbie 'has life-defining-experience at take that gig'

Robbie Williams has revealed that he has a 'life-defining’ experience when Take That played in Dublin on Sunday.

The 37-year-old singer admitted that he had been feeling 'jaded' before taking to the stage as part of the band's Progress Live tour, but said that the 'overwhelming' good feeling from the crowd did something strange to him.

Taking to his blog, he wrote, "Oh my lord... Ireland!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What did you do to me on Sunday night? I gave everything I had on Saturday and as expected your performance was better than mine... (only just).

"So much so that it was with a bit of trepidation that I made my way back to Croke Park the next day feeling a little jaded and drained from the night before... (such high highs there has to be a come down....). But I wasn't expecting what came next.

"I proper lost my s**t. The overwhelming good will, love, smiles, happiness, approval and acceptance beaming straight to the stage transformed me from preening peacock prima donna showman to a ball of mush within seconds.

"It was so powerful that I didn't know if I was going to be able to collect myself... proper floored.

"There's a tear in my eye thinking about it now. Yes, the gigs have ranged from brilliant to religious every night. But Sunday night (at) Croke Park was life defining. It will stay with me for as long as I live. Ireland I bow to you."

Robbie to go back to solo career after Take That tour?

Those with Take That tickets may not get another chance to see the band perform as a five-piece as Robbie Williams could decide to return to his solo career.

Robbie rejoined the band last year after his departure back in 1995 and the current Progress Live tour is the first time all the original members of the band have toured together in 16 years.

But it is not yet clear what the singer's plans will be after the tour ends, with the band's Mark Owen hinting in an interview that it is likely he still wants to perform as a solo act.

"I think the place that we are at now, I think Rob is looking at, he's going to be doing something himself, hopefully in the next year," he told the Irish Independent.

"He has it in him, he wants to do his own thing and it's a massive part of him. So I think he'll be looking at doing his own stuff."

Take That's next UK gig takes place at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff tomorrow night (June 14th).

Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow in diet wager

ROBBIE WILLIAMS and GARY BARLOW are at war again – over who can lose the most timber.

The TAKE THAT pair have a four-figure bet riding on who shifts most spare tyres before the band's European tour Progress kicks off in May.

Both are unhappy about piling on the beef and have started a strict diet to get match fit.

But Robbie's target weight sounds a bit extreme – he's using CHRISTIAN BALE's skinny character in The Machinist as his motivation.

Robbie said: "Me and Gary vary in weight. We go up and down by the week.

"Gary and the boys were at my house in LA last week when Gary turns to me and says, 'I won't be needing these clothes soon, do you want them?' – 'cos he's going on a diet.

"That was the day I thought, 'Right, if you're eating a lettuce, I'm eating half a lettuce.'

"There is now a serious game on to see who can get the thinnest for the tour.

"You know The Machinist with Christian Bale? I'm going for Christian Bale."

The lads have been stuffing their chops with all sorts of grub during their break since Christmas.

But they each have a personal trainer, and a nutritionist called Jasmine, working with them every day until the tour starts. Their bet only started a week ago so there's a long road ahead before the party kegs are replaced with six-packs.

It's not the first time the lads have had to shape up and get fit to go on the road.

Robbie is a self-confessed muncher of cake and crisps and has been put on "ninja food" loads of times over the years.

The rest of the band don't have to worry – there's more meat on a butcher's pencil than on MARK OWEN, HOWARD DONALD and JASON ORANGE put together.

Take That have challenged each other with dares before.

In the 90s they used to keep a tally of their groupie conquests.

It's not as much fun with only Orange juice on offer to the groupies now.

Robbie Williams 'to sign new solo deal'

Robbie Williams is reportedly planning to return to his solo music career.

The singer, who reunited with Take That eight months ago, is said to be in talks to sign a deal with the group's record company Universal.

A source said: "Robbie's been very committed to this Take That project and can't wait to tour with the guys, but he never said he wouldn't record his own music again.

"It's important for him to have his own solo deal because he is one of the most successful British recording artists.

"Robbie's been very impressed with the way Universal have sold and promoted Progress, the latest Take That album. He thinks they'd be great for his career."

A close friend added that Williams is committed to the band until the end of the current album campaign but has "every major record company chasing him".

Robbie Williams 'rejects £2m X Factor deal'

Robbie Williams has reportedly turned down a £2million contract to replace the departing Simon Cowell on the judging panel of the next series of the X Factor.

According to Star magazine, the artist has asked for a bigger deal to take part in the upcoming eighth series, which is due to hit UK screens in September, as he is worried about the effect it will have on his marriage.

A source told the magazine: 'With Simon leaving to judge the US show, he's convinced Robbie would be the perfect successor. Rob's likeable, opinionated and funny. 'But money has been a stumbling block. He wants more of an incentive to put himself out there on live TV every week.'

Robbie made his UK TV comeback on the show in October 2009, which was watched by 13 million viewers, and he has since rejoined his former Take That bandmates, with a new tour due to begin later this year.

Rumours have recently been circulating that his wife, Ayda, is considering an offer to star in the next series of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Of course it is going to be a great night of entertainment but the real reason we are all there is to raise much-needed funds to help some of the UK’s most at-risk children; unfortunately our help is needed more than ever so we hope the money raised will help us reach even more children over the next year.”

Robbie Williams: Take That will strip to beat JLS

Take That singer has said the band are prepared to run naked through Trafalgar Square in order to beat JLS in an upcoming chart battle.

JLS are releasing their second album Otta This World on November 22nd, the same day as Take That, who Williams recently rejoined, release their album Progress.

Both acts are hoping their records will reach number one in the album charts.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Williams said the band may need to recreate the video for their debut single Do What U Like, which saw them being smeared with jelly while naked, in order to beat the younger boyband.

"If all else fails, nakedness in Trafalgar Square," he said. "We might have to get our arses out again. It's going to be an interesting week. JLS are great," he added.

Take fat as Robbie muscles in

ROBBIE WILLIAMS has been training four hours a day for four months to turn his keg into a six-pack.

The singer was determined to get into shape and not look like the token fat lad when he lines up alongside his old TAKE THAT bandmates.

He's been working with trainer NICKY HOLENDER, the man who helped whip MEL B into shape.

Nicky said: "He's gone from being overweight and not looking so good to being an athlete. He's worked his a*** off."

The former footie pro puts Robbie through his paces five days a week and went on holiday with him to continue their regime.

He has even managed to persuade Robbie to cut down on chocolate.

Nicky said: "He has become very careful about what he eats and in four months he now has a full six-pack going on.

"All I'm doing is getting him to eat well and then he can have his sweet stuff on his cheat days. He has so much muscle."

Nicky, an ex-Peterborough United and LA Galaxy footballer, is now turning his attention to wiping out Robbie's other major vice - smoking.

He said: "It's the best thing he could do for his body. He's come such a long way now and done so well that quitting the fags would be the biggest goal."

Robbie 'in love' with the Take That story

Singer Robbie Williams has said that he is "in love" with the idea of all the members of Take That being reunited.

Speaking to X magazine, he said: "I suppose subconsciously maybe I knew I'd go back."

"Then I spent a little time with the boys when they came to LA and we got a little room together. Within seconds it was like, yep, this is what I'm doing now."

"Every now and again I wonder why [they took me back]. But, I mean, it's just, well, we're all in love with the concept of it."

"If it was just a financial thing for the boys then they're doing themselves a disservice having me back in the band because they've got to split things five ways."

"Well, every now and again I do think about it and I think, well, they must think about it the same way I do - we're all in love with the story."

Robbie Williams: 'Take That feel-good factor makes me want to keep coming back for more'

Reaching number one with new single Shame may have eluded him and Gary Barlow, but Robbie Williams still feels positive about his Take That future.

Appearing on Daybreak on ITV1 this morning, Robbie said that being back with the Take That boys gives him the feel-good factor.

He said: “The democracy of Take That is brilliant now. Everybody chips in, everybody gets an equal say, and it’s something that I don’t plan on leaving for a bit. We’ve met on a level playing surface – the boys have come back and have done exceptionally well. People have had kids and you know, the edges for me have sort of rounded-off a little bit, and so have the boys. And it’s the feel-good factor that makes me want to keep coming back for more – or back for good!”

Asked what his ambition is going forward, Robbie replied: “Just to have a laugh. You know, I don’t need to be doing anything, I’m very fortunate with the life I’ve got. I’ve got an amazing wife, we have a very uncomplicated relationship, eight doggies, live out in LA in the sun – it’s a good life. So whatever I do now – it’s just got to be a laugh.”

He went on to reveal that he’s discussing having children wife Ayda Field, saying: “We’re negotiating – me and the missus are negotiating at the minute about having kids. She wants to go now, and I’m like ‘No, let’s go around the world and enjoy ourselves’.
