Take That! Comics and manband join together to raise millions for Comic Relief

And you’re not seeing double.

Five of the nation’s favourite comics have become tribute act Fake That for Comic Relief.

The sketch will be shown tonight as part of the Red Nose Day extravaganza.

Fans will see James Corden, 32, become Gary Barlow, 40, John Bishop, 44, take on Robbie Williams, 37, Alan Carr, 34, morph into Mark Owen, 39, and Catherine Tate, 42, sport a cropped hairstyle to become Jason Orange, 40.

Little Britain star David Walliams, 39, will be Howard Donald, 42, who he played in his spoof documentary show Rock Profile with Matt Lucas over a decade ago.

David said: “Being in a boy band for the day was really tiring. We had to do all the dance moves – but when Take That did it they were like, 22.

“I’m 39, and I just thought: ‘I can’t handle this!'”

John added: “It was great being in a boyband – except one of us was a girl and none of the rest of us are boys. It’s a good cause, but aside from the charity it was just a great day. I’d have paid to do it.”

The sketch sees the comedians in a Take That tribute band audition, with the real lads behind the judges’ table.

They go to extreme lengths in a bid to impress the manband, with the use of props, numerous costume changes and complicated choreography.

Meanwhile comics Jimmy Carr, 38, Al Murray, 42, and Frank Skinner, 54, have faced their fears as they were waxed by Denise Van Outen, 36.

The trio lost out to Stephen Fry, 53, in their competition to see who could sell the most special edition Walkers crisps.

Frank said: “I got quite a considerable proportion of my surface area waxed! I’d like to say it didn’t hurt but it really did – a lot.”

Comic Relief is on BBC One tonight from 7pm. It switches to BBC Two for the news at 10.30pm, and reverts to BBC One at 11pm.

Take That actuará en el festival de San Remo el 18 de febrero

Ora e' ufficiale: Robert De Niro e il gruppo dei Take That saranno ospiti al prossimo Festival di Sanremo. Il gruppo musicale si esibira' all'Ariston la sera di venerdi' 18 febbraio, e nell'occasione Robbie Williams sara' protagonista di una simpatica performance con la 'squadra' di conduttori capitanata da Gianni Morandi. Il famoso attore statunitense ci sara' invece nella serata finale, sabato 19. Una presenza, quella di De Niro, legata alla promozione del film "Manuale d'amore 3" diretto da Giovanni Veronesi e di cui l'attore e' tra i protagonisti con, tra gli altri, anche Monica Bellucci (che voci di corridoio danno anche lei possibile protagonista con De Niro l'ultima sera al Festival).

As it is a very, very special thing that Gary is coming into R2 HQ. So, we are going to set up some video cameras in the studio so you can watch the whole interview live. Wagner and Take That in X Factor final return

Take That and Wagner are reportedly set to reappear on the X Factor stage for the show's grand finale this week.

ITV bosses have a star-studded line-up planned for the final, including Robbie Williams, who is rumoured to perform with One Direction, and Rihanna, who will reportedly be sharing the stage with Matt Cardle.

Liverpudlian Rebecca Ferguson is expected to duet with Christina Aguilera, while controversial finalist Cher Lloyd will be performing with either Avril Lavigne or Black Eyed Pea - and friend of Cheryl Cole - Will.i.am, The Mirror reported.

Robbie will also be returning to the stage with the rest of Take That following the group's successful performance earlier in the series.

However, the reappearance of Brazilian singer Wagner with the rest of the finalists is causing equal amounts of excitement and anxiety among insiders.

A source told the newspaper: 'People are really looking forward to Take That coming back on the show, but to be honest they are not so happy about seeing Wagner again.

'He caused a lot of problems, so we just hope he is on his best behaviour this time around and doesn't clash with Matt or anyone else backstage.'

Since leaving The X Factor, Wagner has been caught up in a row over benefits. The Brazilian is due to be investigated for his eligibility to claim incapacity benefits following his energetic dance routines on the show.

Take That confirmed for Brit Awards

Take That have been confirmed to perform at next year's Brit Awards.

The 2011 ceremony - which has undergone a significant revamp - will be the first time in 16 years that the Progress group have performed as a five-piece at the yearly event.

Plan B will also take to the stage at next year's show, reports PA. No other artists have yet been announced.

The Brit Awards 2011 will take place at The O2 in London on February 15.

Take That to play 'Strictly' semi-final

Take That have been confirmed as the special guests for next weekend's Strictly Come Dancing semi-final.

The fully reunited boyband will play their latest single 'The Flood' and classic '90s hit 'Never Forget' on the BBC One reality show.

Strictly airs over three shows next weekend and it kicks off on Friday at 9pm on BBC One.

BBC's Children in Need spectacular live appeal show returns on Friday 19 November at 7.00pm on BBC One, with a variety of entertainment acts, all doing their bit to raise money for disadvantaged children and young people right here in the UK.

The recently reformed Take That will perform their new single, 'The Flood', and in a BBC Children in Need exclusive, will sing one of their classic hits live for the first time since regrouping.

Take That estará mañana en el programa "Steve Wright in the Afternoon" de BBC Radio 2 que comienza a las 14:00 (las 15:00 en España).

Take That actuará en 'Royal Variety'

Take That, Cheryl Cole and N-Dubz are among the acts who will perform at the 2010 Royal Variety Performance, it has been announced.

It was confirmed in April that comedian Michael McIntyre will host the 82nd annual event at the London Palladium next month.

Take That will perform two songs at the event, while X Factor judge Cole will perform her new single 'The Flood'.

In a press release, McIntyre said: "I am unbelievably excited to be hosting The Royal Variety Performance this year at the London Palladium in its centenary year. It is a dream come true to be introducing the likes of Take That, Cheryl Cole and Prince Charles's own personal booking, N-Dubz."

Other acts confirmed to appear include Britain's Got Talent winners Spelbound, tenor Russell Watson, Dancing On Ice professional skater Daniel Whiston and comedians John Bishop and Jack Whitehall.

The 2010 Royal Variety Performance will be broadcast on BBC One in December.
