Singer ROBBIE WILLIAMS has quit his U.S. soccer team LA Vale, after discovering he had been conned out of $400,000 (GBP200,000) by his "so-called friends" and teammates.
The British pop star has been residing in Los Angeles for the last few years, and set up LA Vale in 2005 so that he could enjoy playing his favourite sport on a regular basis. But Williams, 33, has now disbanded the team, after finding out two men - whom he considered to be among his closest pals - had been using him for his generosity. The duo is alleged to have convinced Williams to hand over $400,000 to help fund their plans to set up a fashion label in New York - but blew the cash on partying instead. And Williams lost his temper at with the 'pals' at the weekend (27-28Oct07), prompting him to kick the hangers-on out of his California mansion. A source tells British newspaper The Daily Mirror, "It was as if the penny had finally dropped and Robbie realise he was being taken for a mug. "There was a screaming row between him and several people. He accused them all of taking advantage. He ordered them all out of his house and told them not to come back. "But it was when he disbanded the (soccer) team that everyone became convinced he meant business. It's very much his pride and joy."

BWT Barcelona: Crítica del ABC
Peterpanismo y cortinas de humo
La historia está llena de casos así, de bandas que deciden echar el freno a su carrera y, cuando se animan a volver, descubren con pasmo y sorpresa que su público ya no está donde lo dejaron. Algo parecido les ocurrió el sábado a los británicos Take That en su primera y única actuación en España: sólo 12.000 personas se animaron a medio llenar el Palau Sant Jordi para rescatar sus recuerdos de adolescencia en compañía de la banda que coronó la liga del pop adolescente y anda ahora jugándose la permanencia noche tras noche.
Es lo malo de ser un grupo generacional: pasa el tiempo, el público crece y, con los años, empieza a preocuparse más por llegar a final de mes que por rescatar las pegatinas que decoraban su carpeta escolar una década atrás. Aun así, el regreso de los de Manchester fue, contra toda pronóstico, un deslumbrante ejercicio de prestidigitación escénica y derroche de producción. Las canciones, siempre a caballo entre las baladas a cuatro voces y los números de funk mantecoso, acabaron siendo lo de menos en una noche repleta de ingeniosa pirotecnia audiovisual.
No han escatimado ni un solo euro los británicos en un retorno que compensa lo liviano de las composiciones y lo anacrónico de algunas coreografías -las de «Sure» y «Give Good Feeling» eran de chiste- con un fastuoso montaje que, a su paso por Barcelona, tocó techo con la fabulosa interacción entre pantalla y escenario de «Never Forget». Lo nunca visto: Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Jason Orange y Howard Donald entrando y saliendo en tiempo real de uno de sus vídeoclips. Impresionante.
Fue el colofón a una noche de cuartetos de cuerda y bailes de disfraces; de pianos de cola emergiendo de la nada y pasarelas levadizas conectando el escenario principal a otro más pequeño situado en el centro de la pista; de bolas de espejos gigantes y ritos paganos con llamaradas y bailarines en trance... Fue, en fin, una noche de vistosos efectos especiales y cortinas de humo con los que la banda británica demostró que, a pesar de su más que evidente complejo de Peter Pan, se puede plantar las puertas de la cuarentena con cierta dignidad.

Everyone I'm sure will be pleased to hear that Howard is making a speedy recovery and the doctors are very happy with his progress. He will as a result be rejoining his band mates in Hamburg on Wednesday this week when the tour arrives there. Although it is still not clear when he will be back on stage performing with the other guys, the early indications are that it will be very soon.

Londres, 4 de diciembre...suma y sigue!!
Dicho y hecho, Jessi y yo hemos conseguido 2 entradas para el concierto del 4 de diciembre en Londres!! Además nos vienen perfectas porque estaremos en Londres del 2 al 5 de diciembre!! Vamos a ver dos conciertos en dos días: 3 y 4 de diciembre!! Lucky takies!
Eso sí, no ha sido tarea fácil ya que para conseguirlas Jessi ha tenido que lidiar con una alemana con la que apenas se entendía, nos metimos en un foro alemán sin saber alemán y hemos enviado tropecientos privados y post para pedir entradas!! Todo esfuerzo takie se recompensa con un buen concierto!

¿A Howard le han dado el alta?
Una chica del foro verde comenta que a Howard ya le han dado el alta aunque tendrá que guardar mucho reposo y probablemente se incorpore a la gira a finales de la semana que viene. Parece ser que esta chica tiene "contactos" pero ojo... ¡es un rumore!

BWT Zurich: ¿Seguirán adelante con la gira?
Acabo de leer este mensaje de una chica del foro inglés y me ha dejado algo preocupada:
"I've just got back from Zurich and whilst it was FANTASTIC (no spoilers) it has obviously thrown the other three - they kept apologising that it was only the three of them even though it wasn't necessary - and by the end they looked absolutely knackered. It has obviously affected Gary most because he has to sing the leads that Howard would have sung. In fact, we were all saying at the end Mark looked exhausted and then he forgot the dance routine for one of the songs in the encore (much to Gary's amusement) and then M started apologising for THAT too. The main bright spot was that Jay was on top form and bantered an awful lot with the crowd - he was mega-smiley all night although he said that he missed Howard the most because they are the 'tall, gangly ones at the back'.
It does make me wonder whether they will begin to think that they're just too old for all this malarky because the show is as full on as any of the others."
En resumen dice que acaba de volver de Zurich y que aunque el concierto estuvo muy bien, a los tres se les notaba muy cansados. Gary fue el más afectado ya que tuvo que cantar las canciones de Howard y Mark se olvidó de la coreografía de una de las canciones. Se disculparon varias veces por la ausencia de Howard y Mark también por su fallo en la coreografia.
Este mensaje está sacado de un tema del foro inglés en el que se debate sobre si deberían seguir adelante con la gira o no. Todas están de acuerdo en que eso depende solamente de Howard y de lo que sea mejor para su salud. Sin embargo unas dicen que deberían posponer los conciertos de UK si para entonces no se ha recuperado y otras dicen que deben seguir adelante porque muchas ya tenemos reservas de vuelos y hoteles que no nos podemos permitir perder.

Take That con hielo
The lads are put through a two-hour on-stage workout each night of their gruelling Beautiful World tour.
The energetic routines have the boys backflipping, breakdancing and even jumping on a running machine at the end of the show.
So it comes as no surprise that GARY BARLOW, MARK OWEN, JASON ORANGE and HOWARD DONALD need help to soothe their aching limbs.
Let’s face it, they are all in their mid to late thirties.
Health-conscious Jason came up with the idea of using the bath after learning about the benefits from football coaches.
He explained: “It’s horrible when you first get in, it’s freezing and it physically hurts.
“I can only stand it for about a minute but when you get out it feels amazing. You can almost feel it healing your body.
“Hopefully it will help us get through the shows ahead of us.”
Jason and Howard have the most demanding physical moves in the show.
There’s a comical moment when Howard, the oldest at 39, is challenged to do a backflip — just like he used to in the old Take That days.
On Thursday’s opening night at Belfast’s Odyssey Arena he performed the stunt perfectly, landing in the splits.
He then joked: “Ouch, I’ve crushed a testicle.”
I’m sure every man in the room — yes, there were a few — winced as he landed with a bump.
During the set Howard also challenges Jason to do some breakdancing and they force Mark to perform a caterpillar body-popping move.
The classic Take That banter ends with the trio turning to see what Gary can do — but find him sitting reading a paper.
Despite his lack of moves, Gary still had to brave the ice.
He told me backstage: “I was the last one wanting to get in and hoped I could get out of it.
“Everyone expected Howard and Jason to have a soak but when Mark braved it too I knew I was in trouble.
“I had no option but to just go for it. I was only in there for about ten seconds because it was agony but I felt fantastic afterwards. It obviously works.”
The band’s WAGs were all due to fly out to Belfast yesterday to watch their other halves.
The boys are guaranteed huge support from their nearest and dearest — but they’ll have a job matching superfan PETER KAY.
The Phoenix Nights star saw the lads six times on their last tour — and flew to Belfast for the big opening night.
Afterwards he gave the band a song-by-song critique. Gary said: “I had to say to him, ‘I know, I was there mate. You don’t need to review it for me’. I'm glad he loved it.”
The boys proved they’ve still got what it takes to deliver a world class performance.

Westlife quiere a Robbie Williams
Westlife y Take That tienen en común ahora más que nunca. Quienes se han empeñado en presentarlas como bandas rivales podrían ahora tragarse sus palabras. El grupo irlandés Westlife parece estar interesado en contar con Robbie Williams para la gira de su nuevo álbum Back home, lanzarán el 5 de noviembre de 2007.

Brian McFadden, el quinto miembro de Westlife, dejó la banda en 2004 para dedicarse a su familia y a proyectos en solitario. Deste entonces hasta hoy la boyband ha estado formada por cuatro miembros.
Cuando están a punto de lanzar su noveno álbum, han pensado en incorporar a un quinto miembro, y los rumores apuntan al ex Take That Robbie Williams, que dejó su grupo hace ya 12 años. Williams está muy solicitado ultimamente, ya que al rapero 5O Cent le gustaría hacer un dueto con él.
Kicky Byrne está convencido de que su banda y Williams podrían formar un perfecto equipo.
Otro de los miembros de la banda, Kian Egan ha sentenciado “si yo fuera miembro de Take That me gustaría que Robbie volviera. Creo que lo están haciendo muy bien sin él y Robbie también como solista. Pero creo que la gente está yendo más a ver a Take That y no a Robbie Williams”.

Howard en el hospital

"Take That regret to inform their audience that band member Howard Donald will be unable to perform at tonight's show in Vienna due to sustaining a chest injury whilst performing on tour with the band in Europe.Howard is now in recovery in a hospital in Vienna. He says 'I'm really disappointed and upset that this has happened, as I've never had to miss a show before, it's unbelievably frustrating being sat in a hospital when I should be onstage with the guys'.At Howard's request the band are going to go ahead with the show tonight in Vienna without him.'Our friend's health is of the utmost priority and we wish him a speedy recovery, we'll make sure tonight's show is still a fantastic experience for the fans.' Most importantly Howard would like all Take That supporters to know he will return to the tour just as soon as the doctors allow it."Poor Howard!We wish him all the best and a speedy recovery!
Take That informa siente informar que Howard Donald no actuará en el concierto de Viena( hoy día 26) ya que se encuentra recuperandose en el Hospital de una pequeña herida en el pecho que se hizo mientras actuaba en el tour Europeo.
Dice que está muy disgustado de que esto haya pasado y que nunca antes había faltado a un concierto, que es increiblemente frustante estar sentado en el hospital cuando debería estar en el escenario con los chicos.
Por petición de Howard, los chicos actuarán hoy en Viena sin él
"la salud de nuestro amigo es la máxima prioridad para nosotros y le deseamos una pronta recuperación, nos encargaremos de que el show de esta noche sea una experiencia fantástica para las fans"
Howard quiere dejar claro que volvera al tour tan pronto como se recupere y se lo permitan los doctores.

TAKE THAT’s HOWARD DONALD was in hospital last night with a collapsed lung after doing the splits on stage. Howard, 39, missed a show on the band’s Beautiful World tour and could be out of action for two weeks. The singer is understood to have been performing a complex dance movement which also involves a backflip in Milan, Italy, on Wednesday. He struggled through until the end of the show but was in so much pain that when the group arrived in Vienna next day he was taken straight to hospital. He was forced to pull out of last night’s show in the Austrian capital. A source said: “Howard is devastated. He’s never missed a show in his career and is a total professional. He told the band he’d ignore doctors’ orders and struggle through. But they told him his health must come first.” Band pals GARY BARLOW, MARK OWEN and JASON ORANGE spent yesterday reorganising their two-hour show. Howard sings lead vocals in two songs — including their smash hit Never Forget. A source close to the band said: “It puts strain on them. But they’re very disciplined and will get through.” Howard was undergoing a series of tests last night. It is not known exactly when he will be fit to perform again. Take That have ten more shows in Europe before starting the British leg of the tour in Birmingham on Nov 15. Howard’s girlfriend Marie-Christine Musswessels was travelling from their home in Berlin with their daughter Lola, two, to be with him.
