Mark, gimme a Pound!

Before breaking into the music scene, Kate Tunstall was a passionate busker, whether in Scotland or England. She recalls an incident: “I was busking once in London and Mark Owen of pop group Take That happened by. It was in the 1990s, when Take That was still very big. He stood listening to me ? he was with a very attractive girlfriend and then he gave me a pound. “A pound! I was like ‘Come on man. You are famous and you are making a lot of money ... at least give me a fiver!” she says. After the pop group disbanded, Tunstall says she met Owen and recounted the meeting and he joked that he may actually need the pound back seeing that his solo career wasn’t taking off as he had hoped!

Kate Tunstall es una cantante británica que comenzó tocando por las calles de Escocia e Inglaterra. Cuenta que estaba una vez tocando en la calle en Londres cuando Mark se le acercó.Fué en 1990 cuando tt estaban en lo más alto. Entonces Mark se acercó y se paró a escucharla (iba ocn una novia muy atractiva,añade) y él le dió una libra..Ella le dijo: "una libra??"por lo menos dame uno de cinco libras! vamos! eres famoso y ganas mucha pasta!" Cuando tt se separó, Kate volvió a encontrarse con él y recordando la historia Mark bromeó diciendo que igual necesitaba esa libra de vuelta viendo que su carrera en solitario no estaba despegando como él esperaba!!
