El grupo británico Take That finalmente sí actuará en el gigantesco concierto en memoria de la princesa Diana que se celebrará el 1 de julio en el estadio de Wembley, en Londres.En un principio, la banda, una de las preferidas de la fallecida, había rechazado la invitación a participar en el 'show'. "Ese día habríamos estado con nuestras familias de viaje, pero decidimos hacer todo lo que esté de nuestra parte para convertir el concierto para Diana en uno de los momentos más destacados de este verano", dijo Mark Owen en nombre del grupo. Take That are very pleased to announce that, having been formally approached by the Palace and the event organisers, they will be joining the star-studded line-up for Concert For Diana at London's Wembley Stadium on Sunday 1st July.
Although previous press announcements had stated they were playing at the concert, no formal discussions had taken place at that point, so they were unable to confirm their involvement until now.
The band are very honoured to by playing the show, which is being organised by Prince Harry and Prince William in memory of their late mother Diana, Princess of Wales. Mark said: 'We were all due to be away with our families on the date of the event when the concert was first announced, but after being asked to perform last week we got together and decided we wanted to do anything we could to help make Diana's concert one of the highlights of the Summer. Diana was an inspiration to so many people and we feel privileged to have met her.'
