EFE

Saturday 9th July -Wembley Stadium
Check out the Live section of the site for ticket links!
Take That fever swept the nation today when tickets for the bands Progress Live 2011 UK Summer Stadium tour went on sale at 9am. A record breaking one million tickets were snapped, meaning the band have smashed their own previous box office record set in 2008 with The Circus Live Tour.
Massive demand for the tickets this morning caused phone lines and websites across the country to jam as ticket agents struggled to cope with the unprecedented number of people trying to buy tickets. Thousands of fans also camped out overnight outside the stadium box offices to ensure they were amongst the first to secure tickets for the band's highly anticipated tour next year.
The band commented "We are speechless, truly and utterly shocked. This is the most amazing news for all of us. To sell one million tickets in a day is mind blowing and we think we'll be in shock for a few days! We want to thank everyone who has bought tickets today and look forward to seeing them next year."
Progress Live 2011 will be the first time that Gary, Howard, Jason, Mark and Robbie have toured together in over 16 years.

Take That's massive UK tour has caused so much demand for tickets that Ticketmaster have been forced to apologise for their failure to keep up, claiming that the demand for tickets was twice that of when Michael Jackson's O2 residency went on sale last March.
In a statement on Facebook, Ticketmaster said:
"Due to totally unprecedented demand all ticket agents across the UK, including Ticketmaster, are struggling to cope with the sheer volume of people logging on to try and buy Take That tickets. The knock-on effect is also creating problems for the UK telephone network, it’s been confirmed that it’s also straining to cope and that call volume is at least twice that of the Michael Jackson on sale last March. We are working to resolve the issues and we are confident that fans will be able to purchase tickets and we ask that they keep trying."
TickeTTs chaos
Thousands of Take That fans have been left devastated after being unable to purchase tickets for the group's Progress Live 2011 tour.
After millions of keen fans logged onto the internet this morning in the hope of getting their hands on some of the hotly-anticipated tickets, many of the ticket websites crashed as they were unable to cope with the demand.
However, a statement from the group urged Take That fans to keep trying as tickets are still available to buy.
The statement read: 'Due to totally unprecedented demand all ticket agents have struggled to cope with the number of people logging on to try and buy Take That tickets.
'The technology available has not been able to keep up with demand however all ticket agents are confident they will be able to process all enquiries so are asking fans to keep trying.'
The demand for the tickets is also causing issues with the UK telephone network, according to Ticketmaster.
The online retailer added in a statement: 'Call volume is at least twice that of the Michael Jackson on sale last March. We are working to resolve the issues and we are confident that fans will be able to purchase tickets and we ask that they keep trying.'
And while general admission tickets have not yet sold out, there are already thousands of people putting their tickets up for sale on auction sites including eBay.
Two tickets for Take That's performance at Manchester were already fetching a staggering price of £357, while a pair of standing tickets for Wembley were at £405 with over half an hour left on the auction.
One fan wrote on Twitter: 'Isn't it really annoying that many of the people buying #TakeThat tickets are doing so to sell on at extortionist prices?'
There have also been warnings from the police urging fans not to buy tickets for the tour from any unofficial websites, as many sites have already been set up specifically to sell fake tickets.
Detective Inspector Sean Crotty, of the Metropolitan Police Economic and Specialist Crime Command, says, 'There are huge numbers of Take That fans who will be desperate to get hold of tickets for these concerts.
'However, buying tickets from unofficial websites or agencies could result in them losing money, having their credit cards details compromised and ultimately losing out on the opportunity to see the band.'
¡Tenemos enTTradas!

Horse with no name - Americana
Fuente original: Tony Aguilar
"Hola familia,
Mark se luce en What do you want from me.
Me gusta el progreso de Take That.
Peace and Love from London."

Progess review on Daily Star
YOU can get your mitts on the new Take That release on November 15. Check out my thoughts, below, on the brilliant album.
The Flood: First single and utterly epic. A certain No 1. Verdict: 5/5
SOS: Mark leads the vocals with a heady disco opening beat then Robbie comes in with a shouty, pumping vocal. Banging rave-up that sounds nothing like TT have ever done before. “It’s like a bullet to the head,” declares Markie. Bang bang brilliance. Verdict: 5/5
Wait: Dubby 80s-style mid-tempo which Robbie drives. “There’s something I’d like to change,” they declare, clearly referencing their past squabbles. Verdict: 2/5
Kidz: Mark talks to a marching drumbeat about kings, queens and government. Dark Depeche Mode-feeling. Hauntingly good. Verdict: 4/5
Pretty Things: Synth slowie with Robbie on lead. “A little meditation might pull you through/Don’t sweat the pretty things,” he gently croons. Verdict: 3/5
Happy Now: Camp fun number. Gary and Rob share the vocodered moments. Verdict: 3/5
Underground Machine: “What a beast, what a man/I wish the beggers were choosers,” sings Robbie. No idea what he means but this will get your hips gyrating. Verdict: 3/5
What Do You Want From Me?: “My greatest fear is you will notice I’m not what you wanted after all these years/It’s been a difficult year/I still wanna belong to you,” a heart-broken Mark sings. Gut-wrenching brave lyrics with a boisterous beat. Verdict: 5/5
Affirmation: “Can feel the pressure on all our minds,” sings Howard, managing to sound totally modern yet steeped in 80s nostalgia at the same time. Verdict: 3/5
Eight Letters: “Look back but don’t stare,” sings Gaz. That’s the title of their upcoming film about reforming with Robbie. “This is all that matters.” A bromance tune. Verdict: 4/5
Keep spinning for a secret track with a space-age Jason lead vocal. Delicate and floaty. Verdict: 3/5

Progress review on Mirror.co.uk
It's Gary, Howard, Robbie, Mark and Jason all right... but as you've never heard them before.
Futuristic, electro-heavy, bassthumping Take That have ripped up 20 years of history and shown, once again, that they still have a massive future.
I was given an exclusive first listen to the reformed group's 10-track album, Progress, and I can confirm that it's an absolute belter. Determined not to be a bit-part member (as if), Rob's got his dulcet Stoke-on-Trent vocals on over half the tracks.
But despite that, it's still a corker. So good, in fact, that the band have pushed first single The Flood forward a week - sending Westlife running and even pushing Simon Cowell's X Factor charity single back a fortnight.
Here's the lowdown on all 10 tracks...
THE FLOOD
An anthemic, rousing tune, and the first single off the new album. Huge.
SOS
Robbie and Mark combine on this electro-rocky number. Thumping chorus line and very polished.
WAIT
Rob's synthesized vocals give this an 80s feel. Personal lyrics about regret, and dealing with criticism.
KIDZ
You'll either love it or hate it. Another marching bassline, with Mark recording main vocals on the slightly Pink Floyd-esque track.
PRETTY THINGS
Slower in tempo, Robbie sounds great. A real grower.
HAPPY NOW
My favourite track on the album, an absolute Tune with a capital 'T'.
Scissor Sister-lite, Gary and Rob dominate on this massively upbeat and vocoder-heavy number.
Please let this be the next single, boys.
UNDERGROUND MACHINE
Classic Robbie, complete with catchy chorus: "When the girl meets the boy and the boy meets the girl and the boy thinks the girl's all right. All right."
WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?
Another absolute classic. While Mark is keen to stress this deeply personal song was written before his extramarital affairs came to light, there's no denying the poignancy of the lyrics: "It's been a difficult year/(but) I still want to belong to you/I still want to grow old with you/I still think I'm in love with you/I still think you're the one for me but what do you want from me?"
AFFIRMATION
Howard gets to have a go on the mic. Love his voice but the track feels like a bit of a filler.
EIGHT LETTERS
Features the lyric "Look back, don't stare" - the name of TT's forthcoming film. Fantastic song, hints at the lads repairing their relationship with Robbie. Rousing climax and set to be the closing track for next year's tour.

Take That deny Glastonbury rumours
Take That have ruled themselves out of playing at Glastonbury festival next year.
The band, who yesterday announced a mammoth UK arena tour, have been the centre of speculation about this year’s as-of-yet unnamed headliners. Rumours have been flying that the band may perform the Somerset event on June 24th-26th this year. The rumours were also given unexpected support yesterday as the band had left the dates free from their touring schedule.
However, the band were keen to end any speculation, so they addressed the issue yesterday in an interview with BBC Radio One: "No, we're not," Gary Barlow announced, when asked if they were playing.
Mark Owen added: "I love going as a spectator, I've been a few times. We have a big production, we have a big show, I don't think we could put our stage in there, I don't think it's possible. If we're having a good time we might get on the bus and go down. We can go and take our caravan and watch a few other bands."

Take That anuncia una gira junto a Robbie Williams

ITV deal on Take That film
ITV has got the first screening of Take That's comeback film.
The group allowed cameras in for the past year as they got back together with former bandmate Robbie Williams.
The result - Take That: Look Back, Don't Stare - charts their reunion and preparations for their next album.
And bosses plan to air the film on the same weekend the lads stage their first reunion live performance on The X Factor on November 14.

Take That take it easy
TAKE THAT's table would have been popular with guests who had already sunk their own booze.
Teetotallers ROBBIE WILLIAMS and MARK OWEN ignored all the vino at their disposal and stuck to soft drinks.
Not that the boys needed alcohol to brighten their day - they were already chuffed with their Q Award.
HOWARD DONALD said: "Getting a Q Award shows that pop truly rocks. It's fantastic.
"We've stood the test of time to make it back together 20 years this year and going strong."
Howard added that having Robbie back signals a "new start".
"It's great to be working with Rob now we're all grown-up. He's such a talented guy and it's been brilliant to write with him again."
And share an Orangina.

TAKE THAT are planning a reunion tour of epic proportions. Comeback kid ROBBIE WILLIAMS has already let slip the group will embark on a series of gigs next year.
But now promoters SJM are masterminding a whopping 58 stadium dates. The lads will break the news at The Savoy in London on Tuesday.
More than two million fans are expected to pass through the gates at venues across the UK.
A source said: "The band realise demand is high and are acting accordingly. It's unclear whether they will announce all 58 dates at once."
GARY BARLOW, HOWARD DONALD, JASON ORANGE, MARK OWEN and Robbie are trying to conjure up a theme for the tour. They'll need to go some way to top last year's Circus extravaganza.

The flood by Mat Whitecross
Shot at Dorney Rowing Lake near Eton back in July, Take That row back into action with this superb Mat Whitecross-directed promo for big ‘welcome back Robbie we missed you’ single The Flood.
“The original idea for the video came from the band – they wanted to do ‘Chariots of Fire meets Forrest Gump’, a timeless rowing race,” explains Whitecross. “It needed to feel like an event – something epic to bring the band back together again after all these years.
“We got in touch with a National Rowing Team Trainer, and he said to get the band rowing even at a basic level he’d need to work with them for 3 months solid. We told him we had 2 hours the night before the shoot. Within seconds, one of the band had capsized in the lake and we all started freaking out. But the boys were troopers – they threw themselves into the shoot without any complaints. I knew they had a really good reputation, but they were so patient and lovely they made a tricky shoot a real joy.
“Logistically it was all a bit of a nightmare. My producer Mark lost weeks of sleep trying to get permission and insurance for one of the biggest UK bands to row past the Houses of Parliament at the crack of dawn, tailed by a low-flying helicopter with 2 safety boats in tow. But the band were adamant they wanted to do it for real.
“I’m so glad they pushed for it. It’s always better than trying to fake it in post. Every day brought another disaster – we ended up abandoning the final part of the shoot after the boat hit a rock and sank. If we’d known how difficult it would be to shoot on water, I think we’d have ended up doing the whole thing in the studio…”

We saw some interesting developments this morning, with the Take That page over at Seatwave going through some changes.
First of all, a number of performances appeared, then disappeared again – and furthermore the text and the photo’s have all been updated. When big official ticket sites like seatwave start adjusting their pages on the quiet, you know that something is just around the corner.
Well, all the boys are rumoured to be on the Chris Moyles show sometime early next week for a two hour slot (source: BBC) and its a sure bet that they will be announcing the tour details, and tickets, during that interview.
Robbie Williams: Take That will strip to beat JLS
Take That singer has said the band are prepared to run naked through Trafalgar Square in order to beat JLS in an upcoming chart battle.
JLS are releasing their second album Otta This World on November 22nd, the same day as Take That, who Williams recently rejoined, release their album Progress.
Both acts are hoping their records will reach number one in the album charts.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Williams said the band may need to recreate the video for their debut single Do What U Like, which saw them being smeared with jelly while naked, in order to beat the younger boyband.
"If all else fails, nakedness in Trafalgar Square," he said. "We might have to get our arses out again. It's going to be an interesting week. JLS are great," he added.

Take That spill the beans to Q Magazine
Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Howard Donald, Jason Orange and latest addition Robbie Williams sat down with Q Magazine in July. It followed the announcement that the Rock DJ would return to the band for an album and tour.
Rocker turned photographer Bryan Adams photographed Take That for the feature which details how their reunion with Robbie came about. Lead songwriter Gary travelled to LA last summer on a family holiday and ended up spending two days composing tracks with his old adversary.
"We never did anything creatively together in the 90's. But once we wrote [Shame] Rob said, 'We've done it now I want to work with the lads again'", explained Gary.

Take That 'nearly changed name' after Robbie rejoined
Take That have revealed that they thought about changing their name for their comeback with Robbie Williams.
The reformed five-piece toyed with rechristening themselves for a one-off single but eventually decided against it. However, the idea freed the band up to explore a fresh sound, according to Robbie Williams. He's told Q magazine it was the trigger for the electro-pop sound on new album Progress.
"I'm guessing that the initial idea of not being called Take That freed Gary up," said the 36-year-old. Gary Barlow also suggests in the Q interview that Robbie's return stopped the songwriter becoming bored. "After those last two records the thought of the four of us just going in and doing another... it solved all that Rob coming back. It's made it interesting," he said.
'Bullied'
Robbie Williams originally left the band in 1995 but started work on new material after clearing the air with Gary Barlow last year.
Jason Orange says that Williams' departure could have been caused by "bullying" by the other members.
"He was the kid in the band and maybe I bullied him in some ways, not overtly but covertly. He took exception and rightly so. We had a lot of tensions going on and it's easy in a group for one person to become the scapegoat," admitted Orange. "I think we did that to a large extent with Rob."
Robbie Williams also says that despite his solo success he longed to be back in a group.
He said: "I've wanted to be in one (group) since then [2002 album Escapology]. It must've been this one but I had to wait for the stars to realign. It was like, 'I've done Come Undone and Feel and Angels - and that's not what I want either'."
Excitement about the Take That reunion also overshadowed his last solo album, Williams admitted.
"I was gutted about it [having to promote Video Killed the Radio Star]. And, unfortunately for EMI, I was disinterested. This was more exciting and happier."
Take That's new album Progress is due for release on 22 November.

Gary Barlow tells Robbie Williams he is still the boss of Take That
Gary Barlow has warned comeback king Robbie Williams that he is still the ‘boss’ of Take That.
After letting Williams, 36, take the lead vocals on their new single The Flood, Barlow was keen to remind his old friend and rival about who was in charge.
The 39-year-old described himself as the band’s ‘big brother’ and ‘I guess a bit of the boss as well’.
He told Q Magazine: ‘It’s funny because there’s so much of that still there. I kind of still lead the trail.’
And he admitted he was envious of Angels singer Williams’ success after he left Take That. ‘F****** right I was. The thing I’ve learned from having Rob back in my life is that it wasn’t being envious of him, it was more that I love being in the industry.’
Barlow says he is desperate to cling to success now he is back in the limelight.
‘I love days like today, doing a photo shoot, being driven here in a nice car. It’s a nice life. And it’s f****** temporary, unless you’re incredibly lucky.’
And while Barlow holds on to power, his bandmates are less paranoid about Robbie’s return.
Howard Donald, 42, says marriage has tamed the Stoke-born star. ‘He’s grown up a hell of a lot. I was so happy that he got married because that’s what he needed – someone to keep him grounded,’ he said.
‘Most of the s*** that went on was between Rob and Gary anyway. With me, I remember him saying on the TV once that he thought I was cool. I didn’t care what he said about the others after that,’ he added.
Donald insists the reunion is not to keep the headlines going. ‘We don’t need him and he doesn’t need us,’ said the straight-talking singer.

Mark: "I've saved my marriage"
Serial cheat Mark Owen has spoken for the first time of his joy that his battered marriage has survived.
The Take That singer's relationship with Emma looked doomed after he was forced to confess to 10 affairs earlier this year.
Mark, 38, admitted that it had been a "very difficult" time but the pair had turned the corner and were ready to stay committed. He said: "I do want us to grow old together. I do fancy her. Those feeling are there."
Mark summed up his emotions in a song he had written called What Do You Want From Me. Among the telling lyrics is the line: "I like to think of us moving on. I still think I'm in love with you."
He admitted: "My hope for me and my relationship with Emma is in that song. But it's difficult because of what it brings up."
The relationship has been on the rocks since March, when Mark confessed to being unfaithful with 10 women.
He had married Emma, 32, mother to his children, Elwood, three, and one-year-old Willow Rose - just six months earlier in a Scottish castle.
The singer said he was "deeply sorry" for his infidelities but Emma removed her wedding ring and refused to talk to him. Mark, whose interview is in Q, out next Tuesday, then checked into the Priory and vowed to stop boozing.

Take fat as Robbie muscles in
ROBBIE WILLIAMS has been training four hours a day for four months to turn his keg into a six-pack.
The singer was determined to get into shape and not look like the token fat lad when he lines up alongside his old TAKE THAT bandmates.
He's been working with trainer NICKY HOLENDER, the man who helped whip MEL B into shape.
Nicky said: "He's gone from being overweight and not looking so good to being an athlete. He's worked his a*** off."
The former footie pro puts Robbie through his paces five days a week and went on holiday with him to continue their regime.
He has even managed to persuade Robbie to cut down on chocolate.
Nicky said: "He has become very careful about what he eats and in four months he now has a full six-pack going on.
"All I'm doing is getting him to eat well and then he can have his sweet stuff on his cheat days. He has so much muscle."
Nicky, an ex-Peterborough United and LA Galaxy footballer, is now turning his attention to wiping out Robbie's other major vice - smoking.
He said: "It's the best thing he could do for his body. He's come such a long way now and done so well that quitting the fags would be the biggest goal."

Robbie 'in love' with the Take That story
Singer Robbie Williams has said that he is "in love" with the idea of all the members of Take That being reunited.
Speaking to X magazine, he said: "I suppose subconsciously maybe I knew I'd go back."
"Then I spent a little time with the boys when they came to LA and we got a little room together. Within seconds it was like, yep, this is what I'm doing now."
"Every now and again I wonder why [they took me back]. But, I mean, it's just, well, we're all in love with the concept of it."
"If it was just a financial thing for the boys then they're doing themselves a disservice having me back in the band because they've got to split things five ways."
"Well, every now and again I do think about it and I think, well, they must think about it the same way I do - we're all in love with the story."

Robbie Williams: 'Take That feel-good factor makes me want to keep coming back for more'
Reaching number one with new single Shame may have eluded him and Gary Barlow, but Robbie Williams still feels positive about his Take That future.
Appearing on Daybreak on ITV1 this morning, Robbie said that being back with the Take That boys gives him the feel-good factor.
He said: “The democracy of Take That is brilliant now. Everybody chips in, everybody gets an equal say, and it’s something that I don’t plan on leaving for a bit. We’ve met on a level playing surface – the boys have come back and have done exceptionally well. People have had kids and you know, the edges for me have sort of rounded-off a little bit, and so have the boys. And it’s the feel-good factor that makes me want to keep coming back for more – or back for good!”
Asked what his ambition is going forward, Robbie replied: “Just to have a laugh. You know, I don’t need to be doing anything, I’m very fortunate with the life I’ve got. I’ve got an amazing wife, we have a very uncomplicated relationship, eight doggies, live out in LA in the sun – it’s a good life. So whatever I do now – it’s just got to be a laugh.”
He went on to reveal that he’s discussing having children wife Ayda Field, saying: “We’re negotiating – me and the missus are negotiating at the minute about having kids. She wants to go now, and I’m like ‘No, let’s go around the world and enjoy ourselves’.

Críticas de The Flood
Ever since Robbie Williams rejoined Take That, expectations have been high. But after getting our hands on the five-piece band's comeback single, The Flood, we're relieved to report it's a real corker. Anthemic, upbeat and irritatingly catchy, we'll stake our last glass of champagne on the Stuart Price-produced track sailing straight to No1 on its November 14 release.
Co-written by Take That, it refers back to their acrimo-nious split but insists they now realise they work better together than apart. Sniff - someone pass the Kleenex.
Our insider reveals: "The boys were unanimous The Flood should be their first single. It's incredibly catchy and a sure-fire hit. At the moment, the plan is to debut it live on The X Factor's Sunday night show because Simon Cowell is a big fan. The Flood is odds-on to be their biggest single ever."

Is it their best yet or is that just exuberance and promotion from Robbie for his first single with Take That since he left the band in 1995 or is there some truth to his bold statement? Well actually from the teaser I can categorically say the song is fantastic.
Is it as good as the singles from the previous two Take That Albums? Probably. But I would say that Robbie is most definitely right that it is better than any of the songs written prior to his 1995 departure from the band.
Take That are a more anthemic band than they were before they reformed and that anthemic style is more than evident in the new song which is as catchy as Greatest day or Patience.

This is Take That's first single to feature Robbie Williams who 're-joined' the band earlier this year. The song has that 'epic' feeling attached to it (very Stuart Price) however I'm not that fond of it. The chorus is very good but the verses so-so. Undoubtedly, "The Flood" being a good song or not it will go straight to number one on the UK charts, all due to the hype of Robbie's return.

Esperaste y llegó: Take That presentó su nueva canción tras 15 años

The Flood video sneak peek
Full version on Friday 15th October on ITV's Daybreak and takethat.com
Take That... the movie?
THERE have been singles, albums, DVDs, tours, dolls, T-shirts - and now TAKE THAT the movie is heading your way.
Cameras have been following GARY BARLOW, MARK OWEN, HOWARD DONALD and JASON ORANGE since they finally broke bread with ROBBIE WILLIAMS and reunited as a five-piece.
The warts-and-all account of the man band over the last 18 months is heading for a nationwide cinema release at Christmas - which will be a box-office smash with their fans.
It should be gripping stuff, with uncensored behind-the-scenes footage of the group as they buried the hatchet after all the bad blood over the years.
A source said: "Cameras have been with them right through the last chapter of their lives. The lads really wanted this to be an honest account of what happened when they were making friends all over again. It wasn't easy and they've had to bare their souls more often than they planned. Mark had a lot of problems in his private life when he admitted to his drink problem and marriage difficulties. But it just showed how tight they are as a unit."
Sounds like it's going to be something special.
I had the first listen of new TAKE THAT single The Flood yesterday, and it makes a big statement and marks their return with the original line-up.
Robbie takes lead vocals with Gary on the epic, electronic pop hit. MADONNA's producer STUART PRICE has his fingerprints all over it too - which is no bad thing.
The song was the first the band recorded at Electric Lady Studios when they met for Mark's stag do in New York last year.
The lyrics have some interesting messages, with the band "shouting love at the world" and referring to themselves as "cavemen" re-emerging.
There is even a line about "never dancing again", which Gary must be delighted about. Howard plays drums on the track, with Gary on keyboards.
The Take That bandwagon is now in full swing.
Robbie and Gary played a Live Lounge session on Radio 1 yesterday with FEARNE COTTON to promote their new duet Shame.
She asked a question about the weirdest present they had ever received, to which Robbie replied "herpes". Nice.
I've definitely got the Take That bug again.
It's good to have them back in action...

Robbie Williams Taking Solo Break
'Shame' singer Robbie Williams is having such a great time with his Take That bandmates since rejoining the group he doesn't want to return to his solo career.
Robbie Williams doesn't want to continue his solo career - for now.
The 'Angels' hitmaker - who rejoined Take That in July, 15 years after quitting the group - is really enjoying working with Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Jason Orange and Howard Donald again and can't stand the thought of recording alone in the future.
He told German publication ZEITmagazin: "For now I don't feel like going into the studio to continue my solo career."
As well as concentrating on Take That, Robbie is also focused on starting a family with his new wife, actress Ayda Field.
The 36-year-old singer said: "Ayda really wants it and I try everything to make her happy."
Although he is married and preparing for children, the 'Shame' singer is still reluctant to become a mature man.
He said: "I know being grown up means taking responsibility for your life and be in society. But the way I see it you sacrifice a lot of joy and freedom at the same time and I don't find that very appealing. Emotionally I would like to be more mature, though."

Rumore: Gira 2011
There are strong rumours circulating that Take That tickets could be set to go on sale this month for the band’s 2011 UK tour. The pop legends will once again be re-united with Robbie Williams and are set to perform at some of the biggest arenas across the UK.
Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Jason Orange, Mark Owen and Robbie Williams are said to be putting the finishing touches to their latest album, and will follow up its release with their huge tour announcement.
Robbie Williams opens up about his Take That days and happy marriage to Ayda
Robbie Williams has admitted he is still angry about the way he was treated by Take That’s former manager.
The singer claimed that his relationship with Nigel Martin-Smith was based on such emotional bullying that he was forced to quit the band.
“I was too fat, I needed to lose 2st, I couldn’t dance, and so on,” he said.
“Up until then, I’d fitted into any situation, been liked. All of a sudden, I was in a situation where I wasn’t liked, where I was a problem, where I might be letting down four other people.
“So I’m working and living in fear of my management giving me another psychotic bollocking. And those were my formative years. I’m still pissed off.”
Williams, 36, said that he simply wanted to give Mr Martin-Smith a hug, to say sorry and to hear him say sorry, for the things that happened in 1995.
The star told of how settled he was with his new wife, American actress Ayda Field, 31.
“I’m a happy hermit now,” He told the Sunday Times Style magazine.
“The house is always full. There’s always something happening.”
Williams, who has been reunited with his former Take That singer Gary Barlow, acknowledged that without the band, he would be in a very different place.
“I hated it so much, and now I can put a bow on it and love it,” he said.
“It’s amazing turning something that harmed you into something positive. I get such a buzz about it – redemption and forgiveness. It’s a good story, in the end.”
