Emma Takes That Mark back

SHE hasn't been to visit him in rehab for two weeks but MARK OWEN's distraught wife EMMA will soon be seeing a lot more of him.

Because, like most wives of cheating celebs, she's made the decision to Take That star Back For Good.
But I hear she wants to Relight the Fire in their relationship by moving into a different mansion.
My source revealed: "Mark is due out of rehab for his drinking imminently and Emma has decided she's going to give him another go.

"But she's made it completely clear things have to change and this is his last chance.
"If he lets her down again the door will be shut for good."
Actress Emma is planning to set up the family - including their son Elwood, three, and daughter Willow Rose, one - in a new house to give them a fresh start after he admitted to ten flings recently.
An insider close to the couple told me: "She's got her eye on a beautiful house in south-west London.

"It's a project she can focus on and try and stop thinking about her marriage to Mark."
I Pray Emma has made the right decision and Mark will respect their marriage from now on.

He'll need Patience as she asks him: How Deep Is Your Love?

Emma Ferguson Takes Back Mark Owen For The Sake of Kids

Mark Owen’s wife is taking him back for the sake of their children.
Emma Ferguson has told the Take That singer they owe it to 15-month old daughter Willow Rose and son Elwood, three, to try and work things out after he confessed last week to having sex with 10 other women during his relationship with her.
A source close to the family said, “Emma will do absolutely anything for her beautiful children. Mark has been a complete idiot, which he openly admits, but it doesn’t stop him being a brilliant dad.
“He dotes over those kids and Emma knows it. It’s a long road ahead. But for the sake of their children, she will forgive him.”
Mark, 38, has checked into rehab to get help for alcohol dependency since his admission to Emma and has vowed to stay there “indefinitely” until he overcomes his problem.
A source close to him told The Sun newspaper, “He begged her to give him time to prove he can give up drinking forever.
“He said he might feel strong enough to come home after just one week, or it might take a month or more.
“He is doing everything to convince her he is worth staying with.”

Emma, 33, has been comforted by friends at the family’s home in London.
She now needs time to work out how she can fully forgive Mark, who she married last November after five years together.

A friend added, “Emma wants so much to believe this could never happen again – she just needs time to heal and consider whether she can fully forgive.”

Mark’s bandmates – Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Jason Orange – are lending him their full support, as well as former Take That star Robbie Williams.

Take That future "up in the air"

The future of Take That is said to be uncertain after Mark Owen checked-in to rehab following his admission of an alcohol addiction and a number of affairs.

According to Heat, sources close to the band have confirmed that the future of the band is "on hold" while Owen resolves his personal problems.

However, one claimed: "Mark is in rehab, so they can't continue recording without him. There's no more to it than that. As it stands, they're not going to split, but we'll have to wait and see.

"The boys are supposed to be releasing new material at the end of the year and that'll hopefully still happen. While you can never say never, Take That as a band are very much looking forward to the future and there's no real reason why the band can't continue.
"

They added: "Admittedly, things are a bit up in the air with Mark in rehab. All the boys are sticking by him - they're there for both him and Emma and are determined to support him through this.

"Mark is very much a part of the Take That family, and once he's addressed his demons the band can move forward."

Owen will reportedly leave rehab next month after responding well to treatment.

Mark Owen lured me and my pal into bed - by Take That fan Susan.. aged 16

A Take That fan yesterday claimed cheating Mark Owen enticed her and her friend into bed when they were a pair of naive 16-year-olds.

Owen, 38, was kicked out by wife Emma last week after he confessed to a string of lovers, including young groupies.

Susan Blake says she and friend Kim were lured into a threesome by Owen after travelling to London to see Take That at the height of their fame.

Sigamos leyendo...

As a special treat at the end of their GCSEs, Susan and Kim’s parents bought them Take That tickets and paid for them to stay in a hotel with some older girls after the band’s 1995 Earls Court concerts. The pair found themselves booked into the same hotel as the band. And as they were sitting in the foyer around midnight, Owen strolled over and started chatting to the star-struck girls.

“We felt obliged to please him. We did things to him and he did things to us. He kept on asking for sex, saying ‘Come on, let’s do it. It’ll be safe.’ But we both refused.”

Susan, now a 31-year-old mum of three girls, said: “I look back know and think, ‘You, silly moo’. But we were just young kids. I had only ever kissed a boy before. He knew that we were both young girls and he was taking advantage of us. But it’s his wife I feel sorry for now.”

I HEAR it's been a long, quiet week for Take That love cheat MARK OWEN in rehab.
He's in virtual isolation, with no visits from pals or fuming wife Emma.

I'm told: "Doctors want to focus Mark's mind and shake up his normal routine and any emotional crutches - even coffee and sugar are banned. Everyone's treated the same, including celebs."

But he's not on a 28-day rehab programme and could emerge soon, possibly within a week.

Take That grabará dos álbums: uno con Robbie y otro sin él

ROBBIE WILLIAMS: HE'S BACK (BUT NOT FOR GOOD)

ROBBIE Williams will definitely rejoin Take That for an album.

But before all you diehard fans break open the bubbly, take note: the Robster won’t be back for good.

The “boys” are out to reclaim their biggest boyband title from JLS by recording TWO albums this year – one with Robbie and one without.

My source close to the pop kings told me: “After taking a bit of time out Gary and the boys are now focused on bringing out two albums.

“The idea at the moment is to release two records.

One with Robbie will hopefully be ready for Christmas and then one without him early next year.

“The band will be working with Madonna’s favourite producer Stuart Price who is currently working on Kylie’s big comeback album, so fans can expect a slightly different sound.” Is that the kerching of a cash register I hear?

Let’s just hope the lads find the time – what with all that extra activity Mark and Howard seem to be enjoying lately.

But before karaoke king Robbie plans to rule the world once more with Gary, Mark, Howard and Jason he’s desperate to shed those fat rings.

The Rock DJ knows he’s replaced old arch-enemy Gary as the chubby one of the group so he’s vowed to lose some excess pounds.

Covering up in a large granddad cardie at an intimate gig for Heart Radio, Mr Williams revealed: “I’m a little bit porky at the moment and I have to do sexy. Give me a few months so I can get in shape and take my clothes off.”

With his wedding to Ayda Field on the horizon as well, it’s not surprising he only asked for fruit and protein bars on his rider.

I wonder if Robbie’s decision to relive the group’s glory days has anything to do with his latest single Morning Sun bombing.

A grumpy Rob told the crowd: “This song went in this week at number thirty f**king five, number thirty f**king five...but I hope you enjoy it anyway.”

I certainly did lad. Personally think it’s one of your best songs in ages.

Could it be magic

IT'S not been the best couple of weeks for TAKE THAT - but at last here's some exciting news about their music.
The man band, rocked by MARK OWEN's admission of ten affairs, have hired MADONNA's chief sonic architect STUART PRICE to oversee their next album.

Price made his name working with Madge on her Confessions On A Dancefloor CD in his bedroom studio.

He also produced the last THE KILLERS album Day & Age, and has picked up Grammy Awards for his remixes of COLDPLAY's Talk and NO DOUBT's In My Life.

GARY BARLOW, Mark, HOWARD DONALD and JASON ORANGE are busy working with British maestro Stuart to sculpt a brand new sound.

They want him to steer their music in more of a disco and dance direction.

A source said: "It's a bold move by the lads to make the next album more interesting.

"They've played it safe in the past with mainstream producers.

"But this will take things up a notch. The plan is for Stuart to then work on the sound of their next live tour and bring the whole thing together.

"Howard, a successful DJ in his own right, has been championing Stuart."

Sounds like a good collaboration but it could be quite camp. Price has just finished the next SCISSOR SISTERS album.

Take That's past two albums, The Circus and Beautiful World, were produced by American rocker JOHN SHANKS.The new project - still untitled - is shaping up to be the most exciting album in Take That's 20-year career.

For a start it will be their first since 1995's Nobody Else to feature ROBBIE WILLIAMS.

Expect it to be released by the end of the year.

I bet that can't come soon enough for Mark or the huge army of Take That fans...

Se posponen los planes de Take That & Robbie

Robbie, Take That plans 'put on hold'

Robbie Williams's reunion to Take That has been postponed due to Mark Owen's current personal problems, a report claims.

Williams began working on songs with his former bandmates in January after they met up in Los Angeles.

According to The Mirror, the stars were due to continue their collaborations at a Wiltshire recording studio last weekend, but the plans were disrupted when Owen entered rehab for help to beat an alcohol problem.

Owen has come under fire in recent days after being forced to admit that he had cheated on wife Emma with around ten different women before their wedding last November.

Speaking of the impact on Take That's plans, a source said: "They were all heading down [to record], Robbie included, but the plan has been scrapped for now. All they care about is Mark at the moment and it wouldn't feel the same all of them practising for their comeback without him."

The insider added: "All excitement about the future is very much on hold because Mark's got to get better first."

Take That y Robbie grabando juntos

UK singer Robbie Williams and his former boy band Take That are recording new tracks for the first time in 15 years.

Williams, 36, was Thursday holed up in a studio with Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, and Jason Orange, The Sun revealed.

Mark Owen bowed out of the sessions in Box, Wiltshire, on Wednesday in a bid to save his marriage after confessing to having 10 affairs.

Owen, 38, broke the news of his cheating to the mother of his two children, Emma, at their London home Wednesday.

The Take That recording marks the first time all five members have worked together on new material since Williams quit in 1995.

"It's amazing seeing them back together. They've been getting on like a house on fire," a studio worker said.

Take That is a multi-BRIT award winning English pop band known for hits like Back for Good and Patience.

Boyzone offer support to Mark Owen

You messed up but you will get through it. That is the stark message Boyzone have given to the philandering members of Take That.

The Irish stars offered their thoughts on the scandals enveloping their boyband rivals as I exclusively caught up with them moments before their first performance in London as a four-piece without Stephen Gately.

Shane Lynch said it was not too late for Mark Owen to turn his image around after he confessed to cheating on his missus with ten women.

‘I would say to him: “You totally f***ed up.” He has to accept that and know that’s part of life,’ said Lynch, 33.

‘We all make bad mistakes at some point and he’s just got to suck it up and pull himself together and make it up.

'Life goes on. It will be tough for him because, when you are in the public eye, you think everyone is talking about you. But newspapers come and go, headlines are forgotten.

'He just has to focus on sorting himself out and his wife and forget what other people think.’

Owen is not the only member of the band whose halo has slipped. It was claimed yesterday that Howard Donald had a fling with Dutch brunette Merith Van Onselen.

Their liaison was said to have begun while the 41-year-old was still in a relationship with Marie Christine Musswesseles, the mother of his four-year-old daughter Lola.

Despite being rivals in the charts, Lynch said they only wish the best for the Take That boys in their private lives: ‘We’re all friends and we all look out for each other and back each other up.’

Let’s be serious here, who’d expect their perfect monogamous husband to be in a world famous boyband?

Let’s be serious here, who’d expect their perfect monogamous husband to be in a world famous boyband?

It seems that being a member of Take That is tough on monogamy as allegations surface that another band member, Howard Donald, has been cheating on his longterm partner.

Late last week Mark Owen confessed to a string of 10 affairs behind his wife's back. The singer admitted he has been "an idiot" and subsequently checked into rehab to deal with his drinking problem.

And now his bandmate Howard has been accused of cheating on his girlfriend Marie-Christine Musswessels, the mother of his youngest daughter Lola, before they split in late 2009. He also has another daughter, Grace, from a previous relationship.

In an interview with British newspaper the News of the World, married Dutch beauty Merith Van Onselen alleges she conducted an affair with the singer while he was still involved with his baby mama. She claims to have met the star while he was working as a DJ in Berlin, Germany and alleges they embarked on an eight-month affair after he bombarded her with saucy emails in June 2008.

Merith, who has now split from her husband, tells the newspaper, "The first time I met him I told him I was married and he pulled a sad face. I thought that was the end of it. We kept running into each other at different DJ nights. He would say I was beautiful and special.

"Then one day I gave in. It was the start of a passionate relationship. Howard spoke a lot about feeling guilty about Marie. He was so confused and kept saying to me, 'Look at the big picture, you are married and I am still in a relationship.'"

Merith claims the romance ended in October 2009, ironically just before the Take That star split from his girlfriend.

Publicar o no

Seconds Take That Exposed: Howard Donald

Take That's Howard Donald smoked cannabis then got dutchy-feely with brunette from Holland

A SECOND Take That star is today exposed as a love rat - after having an EIGHT-MONTH affair with a married Dutch beauty.

Singer Howard Donald romped with 28-year-old Merith Van Onselen behind the back of the mother of his youngest daughter at the height of the group's comeback - after wooing her while high on cannabis.
Our new revelations emerge as shamed bandmate Mark Owen begins rehab for booze addiction after stunning fans by admitting cheating on wife Emma with ten different women.
Howard, 41, was in a relationship with Marie Christine Musswesseles and portraying himself as a doting dad to their little girl Lola while he was secretly bedding Merith at his London home.
Today Merith tells the News of the World how the star swept her off her feet in a dope-filled club in Berlin where he was working as a house DJ in July 2008.
"He made it clear that he fancied me. But he smoked a joint to get the Dutch courage to tell me," says the beauty.

"The first time I met him I told him I was married and he pulled a sad face and shrugged. I thought that was the end of it."

But determined Howard spent SIX MONTHS bombarding her with raunchy emails. He also sent her a picture of him smoking a cannabis spliff at a DJ gig in Berlin - where smoking dope is legal - with the message: "It's a horrible pic but I like the look of the joint!!"
Merith says: "He said cannabis gave him confidence and kept telling me he had been thinking about me all the time. We kept running into each other at different DJ nights. He would say I was beautiful and special.
"Then one day I gave in. It was the start of a passionate relationship. He has a very high sex drive. He wanted exciting sex and he sure got what he was looking for."

Mark Owen battles drink problems

Take That's Mark Owen enters rehab after admitting affairs and battle with alcohol

Take That pop star Mark Owen has entered rehab after admitting to battles with alcohol and having a string of affairs.

On Saturday the singer's spokesman confirmed Owen had been checked into a "private clinic" after confessing to repeated infidelities and saying he had a drink problem.
Owen, 38, who has often been seen as a "squeaky clean" member of the reunited group, said earlier this week that he was "deeply sorry" for the "pain" he had caused to his wife and friends through his flings with as many as 10 women.

Mark Owen's Attempt to save his marriage

Mark Owen checks into rehab for his drinking in attempt to save his marriage

Take That heartthrob Mark Owen has checked himself into rehab as his marriage teeters on the brink following his confession of at least 10 affairs.
The guilt-ridden star, 38, was forced to come clean to flings with girls on tour and an affair spanning five years with accounts manager Neva Hanley, 24.
And after being thrown out of home by his ‘devastated’ wife Emma, Owen is tonight entering a clinic to be treated for his drinking.

Mark Owen Checks into Rehab

Take That star Mark Owen has checked himself into rehab days after admitting he had a drink problem and had cheated on his partner of five years.

A spokesman for the 38-year-old said: "I can confirm Mark checked into a private clinic on Friday."

"I have had issues for a long time. I've drunk for the last 10 years and it got to a bad point," the singer told The Sun newspaper on Thursday.
He also admitted he was unfaithful to his wife before they married in 2009.

Owen said he was "deeply sorry" that he had cheated with several women during his relationship with Emma Ferguson, the mother of his two children.
But he insisted he had been faithful since marrying her.
In a statement he said: "I'm so deeply sorry for the pain my actions have caused my family and friends."
The singer added: "I'd like to ask the media to please respect the privacy of my wife and children during this difficult time."
Owen, who won Celebrity Big Brother in 2002, said he had not recognised how bad his drinking had got.

"I carried on drinking through my relationship with Emma and it got to the point where she asked me to stop.
"I've never liked drinking during the day but once the kids went to bed, I'd get the bottle open and off I went.
"I have been a prat. I wasn't thinking - I don't think logically when I'm drunk. I'm not the person I want to be when I'm drunk. I can be a nightmare to live with."

Owen admitted the affairs to his wife on Wednesday and his confession was published in Thursday's edition of the paper.

The star, who has enjoyed phenomenal success with Take That since they reunited in 2005, said he was "proud" of the fact he had not cheated since tying the knot.
"I know that sounds really stupid but on our wedding day, for me the ring is really important and I want to be true to my word."

The couple married at Cawdor Parish Church, near Inverness in Scotland, followed by a reception at Cawdor Castle.
"It was a big moment for me, my wedding day," Owen said.
"The wedding for me was a new slate and a new start. In my head there was never a time when I was doubting getting married."

Focus on the drink, drop in a Robbie mention and maybe people will forget I shagged ten (ish) other women...

Nah, don’t think so Marky. But 10 out of 10 for effort, or is that 15? What’s in a number anyway? Cheating, liar Mark has now revealed Robbie Williams and the other Take That lads are helping him overcome his drink problems, which he’s had for a decade - that’s 10 years by the way – and he’s now in rehab.

(no, me parece que no, Marky. Pero te damos un 10/10 por el esfuerzo, o un 15?)

“I’ve always tried not to involve anyone else, including the boys,” the dirtbag told The Sun, probably while shifting from foot to foot and twiddling with his new misery beard. “Maybe the lads have suspected sometimes. Me and Howard were up late in the studio and we were talking about me being drunk.

“He was saying I do this thing with my head, where it sways around and he can’t understand what I am saying. So they were all aware I got myself in a state. I admitted I had a drink problem I never knew I had.

“I felt better after that. You want friends around you and friends close to you for help.”

Presumably those friends include female ones who like to take their knickers off too. Mark does admit, like the big shit he is*, that the drink isn’t to blame though and he was probably using it to deal with the guilt over all the women he was shafting. So, right back to square one then, but hey Rob (who’s pretty much clinging onto sobriety by whatever’s left of his bitten fingernails and every ounce of willpower he has in that old pub-singer’s soul of his) is helping him, so it’ll all be fine.

Mark Owen is in rehab

TAKE THAT's MARK OWEN dramatically checked into a clinic last night - hours after revealing his booze hell in The Sun.

The singer, 38, who rocked his wife by also confessing to ten affairs, said: "I need to sort things out."

Shamefaced Mark said as he headed to a secret clinic: "I've made my bed and I've got to lie in it. I was very lucky to marry Emma because I've not always been a great partner. "
"I have had issues for a long time. I've drunk for the last ten years and it got to a bad point.
"That's been my issue. I have been a prat."

Tearful Emma kicked him out of their South-West London home after he owned up to repeatedly cheating on her. He agonised for two days about how to rescue his marriage before deciding he had to kick the booze for good.

Mark, whose best mate ROBBIE WILLIAMS had been helping him battle the bottle, headed into rehab after phoning Emma and the kids to say his goodbyes.

His Take That bandmates GARY BARLOW, HOWARD DONALD and JASON ORANGE gave him the OK to temporarily bow out while they and Robbie record a new album in Wiltshire.
Pals have been fearful for gaunt-looking Mark's health.

He has barely eaten since confessing to his ten flings - one of which was a long-term affair.
A source said: "Mark moved into a friend's house for a couple of days. But all he did was smoke furiously. He did not want to see anybody and was really down. Mark just feels really stupid. The rest of Take That were very understanding. They have told him he can just come back when he's ready. There is absolutely no time pressure. They will press on with recording a new album with Robbie and when Mark's ready to come back, the door is open."

Pretty Emma was seen arriving back at the family's house looking drained yesterday - and minus her wedding ring. The fob of a keyring she carried bore the slogan: "Keep Calm and Carry On".

"He tenido problemas durante mucho tiempo.

Mark Owen is 7-4 to be divorced by the end of the year and 5-1 to leave Take That

Mark Owen's love-rat confession is bad news for his missus but good news for Paddy Power.

The Irish bookies had offered 8-1 for a singer to be outed as the next tabloid cheat, but hardly took a bean.

Few guessed that the next love-cheat would be a singer, even fewer guessed that Owen would be. Many will be wondering why Owen confessed to 10 affairs. It's a good question.

Usually it means a more sensational story was about to break and the confession is designed to limit damage.

I shudder to think what the papers could have have on Owen that was worse than his adultery - maybe he was found to be chief vocalist on Relight My Fire.

Ten affairs for Owen, four for Cashley, dozens for Tiger, JT getting the Three Lions' share - no wonder you and I go without!

Soccer is still favourite (at 11-8) to be the profession of the next tabloid cheat, with TV personality 5-2 and singer 4-1. I'd cover them all. Owen and Co seem to have done.

Robbie Williams 'supporting Mark Owen'

Robbie Williams has reportedly offered his support to Mark Owen following the star's infidelity confession.

According to the Daily Star, Williams has invited his former Take That bandmate to use his Los Angeles home as a place to work through his problems with wife Emma or to spend some time alone.

Owen yesterday confirmed that he had cheated on Emma with around ten different women before they tied the knot last November.

A source said: "Mark has confessed to having issues with booze, and with his own substance abuse past Robbie is the perfect person to offer him support."

Owen is said to have been kicked out by Emma following his revelations, leaving the future of the couple's marriage uncertain.

Emma Kicks Mark Owen Out

Mark Owen 'kicked out by wife' at IMDb

According to The Mirror, the Take That star is currently sleeping on a blow-up bed at a friend's flat after admitting his infidelity in a private discussion with his partner on Tuesday.

"If Mark can keep his marriage together it will be a total miracle. He can say whatever he wants, but Emma doesn't know how she can ever trust him again."

She was in a state of shock when Mark finally confessed all on Tuesday. She listened calmly and then told him to leave straight away. He didn't even have time to pack his bags."

Reports suggest that Owen confessed all after hearing that one of his secret partners, 24-year-old Neva Handley, had decided to sell her story.

NME

Owen is said to have gone to the tabloids offering his story after learning that his mistress of four years, Neva Hanley, was set to go public with news of their affair (Daily Mirror).

Yesterday, Owen admitted that he has paid £12,000 from his personal bank account to Hanley – including £9,000 since his marriage to Emma five months ago – because "she had lost her job and was going to lose her flat – and asked if I could help her out" (The Sun).

Mark Owen's wife kicks out the cheating rotter.

Mark Owen was desperately hoping that his wife Emma would stick with him amid all those nasty cheating revelations - but it's bad news for him, and good news for girl power, as we can reveal that she's kicked him out... for the time being at least.

After news of Mark's dalliances (a romantic-sounding word for some pretty sordid-sounding activity) hit the headlines, the couple had hours of intense talks, with him begging for forgiveness... but they resulted in her apparently getting rid of him with the words “Get out. You’re a liar and a cheat.” And Mark isn't even holed up at an expensive hotel with Ashley Cole, John Terry and an unlimited supply of porn - instead, he's been kipping on a blow-up bed at a friend's flat. Pretty grim for someone who used to be the biggest heartthrob in the country. It's believed that Mark told Emma about his affairs on Tuesday, after he found out that the press were onto him. They then didn't speak for two days.

"She listened calmly and then told him to leave straight away," a friend explains. "It was all a bit surreal at the time. But the extent of his betrayal is sinking in, she’s devastated. Mark knows he is responsible for the alcohol he drank and ultimately accountable for the mistakes he made. He is not blaming anyone else but himself."

Another friend of Mark's has talked about how the constant flow of free booze and adoring women coming Mark's way has ultimately led to his downfall.
"He’s not an alcoholic and it’s not as if he’s got a bottle of vodka by the side of his bed when he wakes up in the morning," they reveal. "He’s very much a social drinker who doesn’t know when to stop. It was all very well when he was on tour and away from home. But when he went out in London and came back in the early hours, his mood was terrible and him and Emma used to bicker all the time about it."Mark has two children - Elwood, three and Willow, one - with Emma, who he's been dating since 2004, which is also the year he met his mistress, Neva Hanley.

Mark says the affair with Neva ended before his wedding last October - but, bizarrely, he's paid her £9000 since they broke things off. So will Emma ditch Mark for good or take him back? "Emma’s understandably upset. It’s too early to say what’s next," said a source.
Poor Emma. And we bet Ashley Cole's relieved that the heat's off him for a second.

Take That will survive to Mark's confessions

Take That will survive Mark Owen's confessions

The pop world reeled, but Owen's infidelity will not derail his band's comeback. In fact, the revelations may increase their popularity

To the list of unfaithful male celebrities, which seems to be growing by the second, we can now add (surely not! It can't be!) Mark Owen. The apparently happily coupled, overwhelmingly pleasant Take That singer has "opened his heart" (not willingly, you can bet) to the Sun about cheating on the woman who is now his wife with 10 other women. In "love rat" terms that makes him a good deal rattier than Vernon Kay or Ashley Cole, putting him in the same league as John Terry and Tiger Woods. (Owen says, in semi-mitigation, that he has not been unfaithful since his marriage, so the episodes in question took place before last October.)

Two thoughts arise. One: even back in the days of Take That: The Robbie Years, Owen was always perceived as the most wholesome member, and since their reunion, his stock has risen even higher: journalists have had only friendly things to say about him … until now.

If you'd conducted a poll last week, everyone, from fans to the media, would have agreed Owen was the last person who would do the dirty on his wife. But now that he's let us down, it's as if the last citadel of decency has crumbled. If Owen was cheating, who can you trust? It sends an arrow through the hearts of people who admired him because he seemed a nice person. In a celebrity-obsessed culture like ours, each of us has our own list of famous people we quite like or can't abide, and in Owen's case it stings a bit to discover one's faith was misplaced.

But maybe people should stop assuming "nice" equates with "faithful" – instead of trusting some pop singer not to two-time his wife just because he looks like the 38-year-old boy next door, it's time to look to less obvious types, like Ozzy Osbourne, for examples of true fidelity. You know without a shadow of a doubt he would never stray, because Sharon would kill him. The day the Sun runs an Ozzy: My Affairs story will be the day we can give up all faith in relationships.
Thought two: it'll be interesting to see how this will affect Take That's astonishingly successful comeback. If my opinion makes them feel any better – yeah, right – they'll be glad to know that I doubt it will have repercussions. Despite the tawdriness and the fact that it's come out now, when unfaithful husbands are being hunted down and shot by the tabloids (and their wives considered doormats if they don't divorce them), Owen's fans are no longer teenagers.

He's built up a large reservoir of goodwill, and in his "confession" he's taken it on the chin, putting the blame solely on himself. If anything, the revelation that he's not quite as off-limits as fans always thought may even increase his popularity. He and his band will undoubtedly stay on the Radio 2 playlist for years to come.

Gordon Smart about Mark's confession

I just read this on The SUN. Nicely written. I guees it sums up what we all think about this.
Mark has been brave enough to confess and admit this (no matter the reason why he has decided to come clean about this) and we want to support him. They dont deserve people to point at them to destroy mark's family, career or life.

ASK anyone who has ever met Mark Owen and they will tell you he is one of the nicest guys in showbiz.

This news has come as a huge shock to everyone - his nearest and dearest included.

I have spent some time with Mark and Emma over the years - in LA in 2007 and then on the Circus Tour last year. They were incredibly kind, friendly and welcoming and the perfect family unit, deeply in love.

But when Mark gets a drink on board he clearly becomes a very different fella.
It's not an excuse but this is a man with an addiction that destroys his judgment.

He's had the strength to admit his weaknesses - unlike other heartless, cheating stars. He showed genuine remorse when we met yesterday.

Mark and Emma after Mark's confessions

"A tense Mark Owen battened down the hatches at his West London house today as he prepared for crunch talks with his wife after admitting to cheating on her with at least ten different women.
The couple arrived together in a black Lexus this afternoon and the Take That singer sheepishly followed Emma, who looked tired and drained, into their martial home.
The singer, 38, made the shock revelation in a tell-all interview with a newspaper today, blaming a long battle with alcohol for his philandering ways.
He said he was 'deeply sorry' for the pain he had caused Emma, whom he married in October after more than five years together.
The couple have two children - Elwood, three, and Willow Rose, one."

Mark confiesa su infidelidad

Mark Owen confiesa haber tenido diez amantes

"No sé con cuántas chicas he estado, quizá diez", admitió.

New album

GARY BARLOW has renewed his songwriting deal with Sony.

But artists hoping for a hit penned by the TAKE THAT frontman will have to wait - he's concentrating on the band's next album.

The follow-up to The Circus is expected later this year and plans are underway for a tour in 2011.

Gary and the boys, JASON ORANGE, MARK OWEN and HOWARD DONALD, have shifted a whopping 4.8million albums since they reformed and, with ROBBIE WILLIAMS rumoured to feature, I can see the next CD selling another few million.

Gary is delighted to renew his partnership with Sony, who publish his songs.

He said: "Because songwriting is such a huge part of what I do, my relationship with Sony is really important."

Gary has written tracks for N-DUBZ, ALESHA DIXON and DAME SHIRLEY BASSEY, but they and other big names will just have to be patient.
