The Circus Live highlights on TV!
ITV1 are going Take That mad this Saturday, as the channel is showing some fantastic highlights from The Circus Live filmed at Wembley Stadium. Straight after the show head over to ITV2, to go backstage with the guys on tour.
The highlights programme, showing some of what you can find on Take That's The Circus Live DVD, kicks off from 6.30pm on ITV1, so make sure you tune in!

Entrevista a Robbie en EP3

EP3. ¿Cómo llevas tu regreso al trabajo?
Robbie Williams. Me siento raro. No me resulta tan natural como antes. Pensé que era como montar en bicicleta, que una vez que se aprende nunca se olvida. Pero no ha sido así.
EP3. ¿Y por qué volviste?
R. W. Estaba increíblemente aburrido.
EP3. ¿Has cambiado tú o el mercado?
R. W. Consultando Wikipedia me di cuenta de que tengo más discos que Michael Jackson y el doble que George Michael. En la música hay límites. Llega un momento en el que te aburres o el público se aburre de ti. Llevo en esto dos décadas. La mayor parte de los artistas llega a esta situación a una edad mayor que la mía.
EP3 ¿Necesitabas volver a tus orígenes?
R. W. Quería sentirme parte de una banda. Desde que dejé Take That tengo esa necesidad. Podría elegir a cualquier compositor del universo, pero no es mi estilo. He de conocer a las personas, comprenderlas, caerles bien y que estemos en sintonía.
EP3. ¿Te reunirás con Take That?
R. W. Sé que sucederá algo, pero no sé exactamente qué.
EP3 ¿Estás seguro? ¿Te ves encajando en las coreografías grupales?
R. W. Fuera del Reino Unido resulta desconcertante que yo quiera volver a Take That. Aquí se les adora. Me gusta su último disco. Y sus directos son increíbles, lo mejor que he visto en muchos años. Lo están pasando en grande. Si hiciera algo con ellos sería por diversión, por estar en la banda en la que siempre he querido estar. No sé si tomaré parte en coreografías, pero quizá componga con ellos.
EP3. Antes no querías ni verles.
R. W. No podía con Gary Barlow. Cuando formaba parte de Take That, el manager -un tipo no muy agradable- sólo se interesaba por él. Y Gary sólo se preocupaba de sí mismo, como tendríamos que haber hecho los demás. Hay varias razones por las que dejé el grupo, les di la espalda y les llamé de todo. Es lo que haces cuando eres joven. Gary ha tenido hijos, ha pasado un tiempo apartado de la industria. Volver a conocerle ha sido un absoluto placer. Es un hombre encantador. Liberarme de toda la rabia, el resentimiento y la amargura me ha quitado un gran peso de encima. Ha sido un bálsamo para el alma.
EP3. Su retorno triunfal, ¿te dio envidia?
R. W. Ellos disfrutan actuando juntos, componiendo. Son una pandilla. Echo de menos formar parte de una. Su éxito no me provocó envidia porque, ¿sabes?, no me ha ido tan mal. Siempre les he apoyado desde la distancia. Antes de su reunificación, Jason [Orange] me llamó para consultarme. Le animé a lanzarse.
EP3. ¿Te avergüenzas del fracaso comercial y de crítica de Rudebox?
R. W. Para nada. Probablemente sea mi disco favorito. Pese a todo, tuvo éxito. Vendió dos millones de copias. Fue número uno en 14 países. Me dio mi primer número uno en México. Fue injustamente tratado por los medios.
EP3. Éste es el último de los cinco discos en tu contrato con EMI (por unos 87 millones de euros). ¿Qué harás después?
R. W. No tengo ni la menor idea.

Gala Premios 40P: Robbie y sus tatuajes

Aunque si hablamos de gloria, hay que dejar una cosa clara: un año más, los gritos más agudos, los chillidos más fanáticos y las mayores demandas de autógrafos eran exigidos a las superstar extranjeras.
El más aclamado, como no podía ser de otra manera, Robbie Williams. El revivido ex Take That se hinchó a firmar libretas, carteles y algún que otro brazo. Eso sí, no dudó en 'cuadrarse' ante un grupo de seguidoras que debieron de decirle algo que no le agradó. Robbie torció el gesto y continuó solícito con el resto de la concurrencia.
El británico, que llegó en jet privado al aeropuerto de Madrid Barajas el jueves noche y que salió escopetado nada más acabar su actuación (abrió la gala), lució tatuaje tras la oreja, aseguró a Qué! que jamás imaginó tener tanto público esperándole (muchos gritos pero pocas ventas de discos, habría que decir) y desfiló como un auténtico gentleman.

"A pesar de que se muestra reacio a realizar un dúo, el ex cantante de Take That, Robbie Williams afirma que cantaría con Julio Iglesias. Entre sus sueños por realizar está ser portada de Health & Fitness, y es que no se muestra muy contento con su cuerpo. Vea las preguntas de los internautas.
¿Cuánto y cómo se realiza el tupé? Es la primera pregunta y a pesar del 'look' cuidado y de 'chico bueno' que luce, Williams afirma que le dedica poco tiempo compartiendo los méritos con Jenna, su peluquera.
Entrando en materia, la eterna pregunta que los fans españoles habéis planteado, ¿cuándo pisará de gira nuestro país? "No el año que viene, el siguiente... en un año". Así que hasta el 2011 no veremos al cantante británico en España.
¿Se imaginan a Robbie Williams cantando con algún artista español? Pues él, en un principio, tampoco, aunque luego recula para afirmar que le gustaría cantar con el padre de Enrique, Julio Iglesias.
Y es que no es que Williams tenga nada en contra de nuestros artistas porque no se ha "planteado cantar con nadie... quizás con Dolly Parton", pero como puntualiza "no es española".
Luego recula, y de toda la lista de celebrities nacionales apuesta por "el padre de Enrique", Julio Iglesias. Del que además sabe "que fue portero del Real Madrid".
Un cantante de éxito puede tenerlo todo aunque siempre quedan cosas por hacer. Williams contesta con ironía que su sueño es ser la portada de 'Health & Fitness', una revista sobre salud y físico, al que no cuida mucho, aunque eso sí, pide que "crucemos los dedos" por él con la esperanza de conseguirlo en algún día."

Fearne Cotton, Chris Moyles, Gary Barlow, Ben Shepherd and Kimberley Walsh returned to Uganda to see how the cash they raised is being spent.

Hello from Uganda,
Together with four of the team who climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in March, I've come back to Africa to see how the money we helped to raise is being spent. We knew when we were doing the climb that the cash would do some good - but we had no idea just how much could be achieved.
Here in Uganda Malaria kills more children than any other disease. Often bitten as they sleep, the young ones are defenceless against the mosquitoes that carry it.
Over the past 48 hours we've helped to give out almost 14,000 mosquito nets - every one of them paid for by Red Nose Day cash. Thousands of people, the vast majority of them parents, walked for miles in blistering heat to collect their nets and the atmosphere was amazing, almost like a carnival - all that was missing was the waltzers!
And that's just the start of it - over the coming months 1.5 million people will be given protection in total, across an area the size of Northern Ireland. That's what you call making a real impact - and it all starts with someone like you supporting our challenge to climb Kili.
So thank you and take it from me, the money you gave couldn't be spent any better than it is.

Take That Circus tour DVD smashes sales record in just one day
Take That' are celebrating today after the band’s recording of their latest Circus tour became the fastest-selling music DVD of all time in the UK
According to figures released by the official Charts Company Take That Present: The Circus Live sold 82,414 copies in 24 hours.
It meant the Manchester boyband turned ‘manband’ -Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Mark Owen and Jason Orange- outstripped in just one day the previous week-long sales record for a musical title held by That’s What I Call A Music Quiz.
HMV's Gennaro Castaldo said: "This is a phenomenal performance for a non-studio release, and it underlines the band's massive popularity with fans of all ages."
Since reforming in 2006, Take That have gone from strength to strength, if anything becoming more popular in their mid-1990s heyday when Robbie Williams was still in the band before quitting in 1995.
At the time the Circus tour was released there were rumours that Robbie might join his former bandmatess on stage but they proved unfounded.
However recently Gary Barlow and Robbie have both spoken of their desire to get the old gang together again.
The 20 stadium date Circus Live tour which was seen by over one million fans became the fastest selling UK tour in history, with the original eight dates selling out in just five hours.
A 2-CD live album is set to be released the following week, containing the entire Circus tour on the first CD and an exclusive performance recorded at Abbey Road on the second disc.
The previous record sales for a concert tour was also held by Take That for with their Beautiful World Live DVD.
The tour began on 5 June 2009 in Sunderland and finished on 5 July 2009 at London's Wembley Stadium where Take That Present: The Circus Tour Live was filmed.

Gary canta con Ronan Keating
Take That's Gary Barlow has crossed the great boyband divide - by teaming up to duet with Boyzone's Ronan Keating.
The pair belted out Take That's Back For Good at Ronan's Emerald and Ivy Ball in Battersea, South London, on Saturday. The starry bash raised £650,000 for Cancer Research UK.
But it was a night of tears as well as joy - especially when Ronan paid tribute to the late Stephen Gately.
And when "Steo's" partner Andrew Cowles got up on stage to join Boyzone, Ronan told him: "With you being here tonight, the four of us, Boyzone, feel like five."

Tributo a Take That y Elton John en X Factor
X FACTOR chiefs sure are cramming those themes in - this weekend they're honouring TWO pop giants.
TV Biz can reveal the final five hopefuls must learn a song by Take That PLUS one of Elton John's ditties.
But no Thatters or Sir Elton will be on hand after show supremo Simon Cowell opted to do without a mentor for the second week in a row.
A show source said: "The plan is for the acts to do one up-tempo number and a more ballady one to show off both sides of their voices.
Tracks being practised include Take That's Relight My Fire and Elt's Rocket Man.

Gary podría componer el tema de UK para Eurovisión
Gary Barlow & Duncan James for United Kingdom??
Rumours have emerged today that Take That singer Gary Barlow has been in talks with a view to composing the British entry for the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo. It has also been suggested that the artist who may perform the entry is Duncan James, the popular singer from boy band Blue.
The story broke during the day and was reported in various media within the United Kingdom and Ireland. The BBC, the United Kingdom broadcaster however have moved quickly to state that this is just speculation and there has been nothing definitely decided as of yet.

The Circus Live: mañana a la venta en España
Mañana sale a la venta en nuestro país The Circus Live, el DVD grabado durante los conciertos del 3 y 4 de julio en el Wembley Stadium. ¡Nosotras, como muchas de vosotras, etuvimos allí y pronto reviviremos aquellos momentos!
No obstante, es un tanto vergonzoso ver que la página de Take That de Univeral Music España no se actualiza desde marzo y no hay ningún tipo de información acerca del DVD. Solo hemos podido saber la fecha a través de El Corte Inglés o Fnac.
Lo que me ha llamado la atención en la web del Corte Inglés, aparte de que el DVD se llame "The Circus LiFe" y los temas estén desordenados, es que parece que hay una edición limitada. Sin embargo, parece que no hay diferencias con la edición normal. Puede que sea la caja Digipack, pero no lo convierte en una edición limitada, ¿no?
Si alguien sabe algo al respecto, sus comentarios son bienvenidos (como siempre).

Adoring fan desperately seeks Gary Barlow's attention
...but gets the brush off.
For one Take That fan, the band's first reunion in 15 years with Robbie Williams proved to be an overwhelming experience.
So much so, that the adoring fan didn't want the night to end and tried desperately to get the attention of Take That hunk Gary Barlow.
The woman approached the singer for an autograph as he was leaving London's Gore Hotel last night after the BBC Children In Need performance at the Royal Albert Hall.
But Barlow, 38, who had just enjoyed an emotional reunion with singer and ex-Take That star Robbie Williams, was mobbed by fans as he made his way through paparazzi and signed autographs.
The woman struggled to get through the crowd, and lurched past Barlow's security to grab his arm. But perhaps fearing a Leona Lewis-style attack, a usually accomodating Barlow brushed her off and escaped to the sanctuary of his chauffeur-driven vehicle.
Barlow had been performing at the charity concert with other band members Mark Owen, Howard Donald and Jason Orange.
They were joined on stage by Williams, 35, in an emotional reunion - the first since the band split in 1995. For the finale, the five teamed up with Sir Paul McCartney at the other acts to perform The Beatles' Hey Jude.
Williams also admitted that he would be performing with Take That - but refused to be drawn on a date. He said: 'We'll save that for something special, whatever that is.'
Barlow added: 'Robbie was the icing on the cake for the whole gig. We wanted to stay on and do ten songs. It felt great having him back.'
