TODAY I beg for an end to this madness.

Former boyband BLUE are in the final stages of negotiating their reunion – and I can’t take it any longer.

TAKE THAT’s comeback was a well-deserved triumph and I’ve got great respect for the lads.

And I grudgingly accept BOYZONE might have a tiny argument for giving it a crack. Just. But enough really is enough.

EAST 17 and 5IVE have both tried and failed to return. And there’s a reason for that.

Music fans need to hear ANTONY COSTA, LEE RYAN, DUNCAN JAMES and SIMON WEBBE in action again as much as they need a hole in the eardrum.

Where does it end? ANOTHER LEVEL? 911? ONE TRUE VOICE?

Blue notched up an impressive three No1 albums and three No1 singles, including Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word, during their four-year reign between 2001 and 2005.

And now the ageing boys may return and even have an album deal in place.
