Mark Owen had a drink problem after Take That first split. The former boyband star revealed he felt "lonely" when the band broke up and started drinking. Mark told GQ magazine: "I was really down. I was in a bad place. I was struggling, probably drinking too much, not at my happiest. "I didn't really have any direction. I think I was lonely. I'd cut myself off. I was staying up late, getting up late, not really seeing much light. I wasn't waking up before probably one o'clock. And then I was just pottering around, listening to music loud, on my own with a bottle of wine, up until four. "That was my little battle, trying to find my own identity and not just be the cute one from Take That anymore." Mark insists he could never become teetotal like his former bandmate Robbie Williams, who has previously battled alcohol and drugs. He said: "Robbie hasn't had a drink for years, he's not done drugs. I think that's great. "If somebody said to me, you can't drink for a week, I'd think 'F**k'."
