Encuesta sobre el futuro éxito de Take That
Summary
- 69% of Brits think Take That will be at least as successful as they were during the nineties
- Women are more likely than men to believe in the band’s future success
- Teens are least likely to expect another Take That phenomenon
Overview of survey results
Take That were undoubtedly one of the most successful British boy bands of the early nineties achieving eight number ones. Since their reform in 2006 they have had a further three hits reach the number one spot. However, the recent announcement that Robbie Williams has also rejoined the band, means it is the first time all five have worked together since his exit in 1995 which ultimately lead to group’s breakup. mingle trend conducted a representative survey to ask Brits how their future success will compare to that of the nineties.
Over two thirds (69%) think the band will at least repeat their success, a third of whom think they will even outdo their past performance. As expected they still have a large female fan base, however men are similarly quite optimistic about their future achievements with over a fifth.
Despite the Take That sensation among teens during the nineties it does not seem as though history will repeat itself as almost a half of teens do not think they will be as successful. Interestingly the middle generation were the most likely to believe in the band’s future with almost three quarters.
So Take That may not be successful in quite the same way as before; there are likely to be fewer teenage admirers as their original fan base has aged with them, but it seems they could still match their popularity of the nineties and really be back for good.

La fiesta de cumpleaños de Jason
TAKE THAT's JASON ORANGE staged a lavish 40th birthday bash last night - and treated guests to a curry feast.
The singer spared no expense by taking over a whole hotel from 4pm to midday today in home city Manchester.
Bandmate HOWARD DONALD, 42, arrived at around 6pm carrying a spare set of clothes - and the rest of the lads were due to arrive later. Details of the do for Jason and his twin Justin were kept hush-hush, with invites sent out only days before.
Last night a source close to the star said: "Jason and Justin are up for a mad one.
"Everybody's wondering whether there will be 40 or 80 candles!
"Jason's pulled out all the stops to make this a night he'll never forget.
"The roof terrace is covered with a huge marquee and twinkly lights, and he's got all sorts of surprises up his sleeve.
"The food alone is something else - he's ordered curries galore, fish and chips and even a huge hog roast." A sign outside the Great John Street hotel yesterday said: "Exclusively booked until 12pm tomorrow. We apologise for any inconvenience."
Band hits such as Shine, Rule The World and classics from debut album Take That And Party blared from the hotel through the evening.
Even No Regrets by ROBBIE WILLIAMS was played - in a tribute to the singer who is rejoining the band for a tour and new album. He joined the lads last week rowing on the Thames as they filmed they new video.
Remember: Never Forget con Robbie
Take That 'Planning New Image For Album'
Apparently they want their new look to be a surprise...
Take That are said to be planning a new look and some extra special 'top secret' artwork for their first album as a five-piece since 1996.
The Back For Good hit makers have already been spotted wearing oarsmen outfits for their new video for single The Flood and reports suggest that the comeback kings are 'fiercely protecting' their new image for the album sleeve.
A source told The Metro: "Now Robbie’s back, the lads are determined to make the artwork extra special..."
"They have been at tonnes of secret meetings deciding the new look to include Robbie and all the ideas are being guarded under lock and key"
The photo-shoot for the new LP is said to be taking place months ahead of it's November release with the lads planning to 'shock fans' with their image now that Robbie Williams has rejoined the man band.
The Metro's insider continued: "They are hell-bent on doing something different now the dynamic has changed again with Robbie home,"
TT are also said to be starting training for their 50 date UK & European tour already, with the source claiming: "Gary, Mark, Jason and Howard proved with their dance moves they are in fine shape after the Circus tour so they know they have to keep everyone impressed."
They added: "They’re going to have to take everything up a notch again now Robbie is back. While the boys are used to the heavy workouts, it has been a couple of years for Robbie so he’s struggling to keep up."
Earlier this week, reports suggested that the lads have 'banned booze' on the tour and are set to bring their families on the road with them.

Take That plan lads-only holiday
Now Robbie is Back for Good he is desperate to Take That & Party with his old buddies.
He is organising a lads' bonding holiday in the sun next month, ahead of the release of new TT album The Flood and their mega tour.
Teetotal Rob, 36, has invited his Take That bandmates to his home in LA and is planning a jaunt from there to Vegas to check out the shows in preparation for their reunion tour next year.
But unlike their road trips of the past, girls, drugs and booze are banned.
Their other halves will be pleased, especially Mark Owen's missus Emma. Pals say she is desperately trying to trust him again after he sought treat-ment for his numerous affairs. A source tells us: "When Gary, Mark, Howard and Jason got back together in 2006 they went on a road trip from LA to Vegas to get into the swing of being in a group again.
"They had an absolute ball - it was that kind of thing Robbie felt he has missed out on.
"Going to Vegas is like a pilgrimage for them. In the past Gary has insisted they go there to get ideas for the tour. It's easy to disappear, away from prying eyes, work on ideas and chill out.
"So when Robbie suggested a lads' holiday, one of his ideas was Vegas.
"They have all met up on nights out.
But a bonding holiday will help prepare them for being in each other's company day in and day out, like they will be on tour. Vegas is perfect - it's not far from Rob's place in LA or the studio where they can rehearse. And it'll give them time to come up with ideas for the tour. They have a skeleton idea of what they want to do, but things change all the time.
"It will be a working holiday so the girls generally don't go along with them.
"It will be tough on Mark and Emma, but they have to get used to trusting each other again. It is his job to be away so much, unfortunately."
Take That 'ban booze' on tour
Take That have decided to ditch all alcohol backstage when they tour next year.
The band will be abstaining from booze when they hit the road out of consideration for Robbie Williams and Mark Owen.
Williams, who announced he was rejoining the group last week, has been teetotal for several years after several stints in rehab.
Bandmate Owen has also been struggling with alcohol after confessing to drunken affairs with ten women.
A source told The Sun: "The boys have had time together over the last week working on the new video."
"They have had a chance to sit down and discuss plans for next year. It's a sensitive subject but booze will be off limits for the band and the crew."
"The Circus Tour was one giant party and, for Mark and Robbie's sake, that just won't work this time round."
The newly reformed band will be releasing a new album in November and are rumoured to be embarking on a 54-date tour.
Williams to slim down for Take That reunion
British singer Robbie Williams is planning to slim down for his Take That comeback by signing up for a gruelling triathlon.
The pop star has rejoined the group and is set to embark on a tour, 15 years after he quit to pursue a solo career. The singer admits he is desperate to hit the road with the toned body he sported in the boyband's heyday and has embarked on a strict diet and exercise routine to lose weight, reports contactmusic.com.
'I've been having these set meals with 1,800 calories a day. But the problem is then I get really hungry - even after 1,800 I'm still starving. So I've been supplementing them with lots of chocolate and cake,' he said.
'It's getting tougher and tougher to get the weight off now that I'm getting older. But there's a triathlon in Los Angeles coming up so I'm going to do it - I definitely need to do something,' he added.
Take That take Hollywood
THE BEATLES did it. So did the ROLLING STONES.
And now TAKE THAT are planning to follow in the footsteps of British music gods by performing at the legendary Hollywood Bowl.
The manband have never made it big across the Pond but they hope the return of ROBBIE WILLIAMS - who is better known Stateside than the rest of the lads - will finally see their lifelong dream of cracking America become a reality.
I revealed last week the band were planning a string of UK gigs, including Glasto, and an extension to their 50-date tour.
But they hope it will be a performance at the landmark Los Angeles music venue that will catapult them to worldwide superstardom.
Last night a source close to the band revealed to me: "It has always been the boys' dream to perform at the Hollywood Bowl. They would feel like their career was complete."
And Robbie certainly seems up for a fresh start. This week, my snapper caught the joker emerging from a river covered in towels after taking a dip during filming for Take That's new music video.
The source added: "Now that Robbie's back it's become much more of a possibility that Take That can do a show at the Bowl to launch one more bid to break America. All the biggest names have played there."
I think an appearance at the Hollywood Bowl - which has also seen the likes of FRANK SINATRA, PINK FLOYD and ELTON JOHN perform - would be the perfect place for TT to cement their position in pop history.
The 17,000-seater venue, set against the backdrop of the Hollywood hills and sign, is known for its distinctive set of arches.
LA has also become a special place for the Robster, GARY BARLOW, HOWARD DONALD, MARK OWEN and JASON ORANGE.
My band source explained: "It was in LA that the guys first put aside their differences and decided to work together again so this will take them full circle."
And I can also assure Robbie fans the singer IS Back For Good and that there's NO limited year-long contract between him and Take That.
"No dates have been discussed at all," said my source. "The lads are going to see how it goes and let fate take its course on this one."

Take That in Mongrels

Take That Gary gets into Pole position
GARY Barlow is planning to hike to the North Pole to raise cash for charity.
The Take That singer, 39, is plotting the trip in spring 2012 for BBC Sport Relief - and is already roping in loads of celebs to join him.
Pals reckon it could take up to a week for him and his team, helped by Arctic experts, to get there.
Gary led nine stars including Cheryl Tweedy up Mount Kilimanjaro for last year's Comic Relief.
A source said: "Gary loves a challenge, so as soon as he finished the Kilimanjaro trip he was working out what to do next. There was talk of climbing Everest but that's a seriously tough exercise.
"Getting to the North Pole is not exactly easier but it is more do-able and takes less time."
Gary is planning a recruitment drive later this year.
Other stars who joined him on Kilimanjaro included Ben Shephard, Fearne Cotton, Denise Van Outen, Kimberley Walsh, Ronan Keating and Alesha Dixon.
The trip was so gruelling Fearne and Cheryl suffered exhaustion and altitude sickness.

Take That film 'The Flood' music video
Take That have filmed the music video to their new single, which is believed to be called 'The Flood'.
It sees the bandmates dressed in old-fashioned rowing outfits competing in an Oxford and Cambridge-style boat race, according to The Sun.
The video - the first to feature Robbie Williams since he announced his return to the band - was shot at Dorney Lake in Berkshire, which will play host to the rowing events at the 2012 London Olympics.
A source said: "Robbie and the boys clearly got on very well. It was just like old times. They were mucking about and having fun.
"The boys were stuck in a five-seater rowing boat wearing old-fashioned white rowing kits bearing a custom-designed Take That crest. They were told to paddle like the professionals. I think they found it quite hard. If you haven't done it before, sculling can be pretty difficult.
"When they finished filming on the first day Robbie decided he needed to cool off. He jumped straight into the lake and had a little swim. No one else had the guts to join him - it was freezing!
"There were lots of little kids around and at one stage they all started singing 'Angels' and Robbie was pretending to conduct them."
Williams recently filmed a Brokeback Mountain-inspired music video with bandmate Gary Barlow for the pair's upcoming duet 'Shame'.

Take That To Play For The Queen?
The newly reunited band will reportedly perform at her Diamond Jubilee...
Take That have reportedly been approached to perform for the Queen.
The newly reunited group, who last week confirmed the return of ex-member Robbie Williams are said to be in talks to headline a concert to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in 2012.
A source told The Sun: "The Queen's Jubilee is on the table and it's one gig the boys would not refuse. It would be a celebration for the nation at a truly historic occasion,"
TT lead singer, Gary Barlow has already been linked to the event back in May, with reports suggesting that he was organising the monarch's 85th birthday party next year.
Meanwhile, avid fans of the Greatest Day singer's are said to be split over Robbie's return to the band with both parties official websites being flooded with requests to rethink the decision after some claiming they are worried his comeback will effect Take That.
Williams, who is said to be be 'embarrassingly excited' to rejoin with Barlow, Mark Owen and Co will reportedly earn the band £75 million as they plan to release a new album and embark on a 50 date UK and European tour, joined by their families.

Five to play on X Factor
Take That's first performance as a five-piece since 1995 will be on The X Factor.
The group will unveil their new look when the ITV Saturday night series returns in the autumn.
It will be the first time fans have seen them as a quintet since Robbie, 38, quit the group 15 years ago. A band insider said: "The boys think The X Factor is the perfect place to showcase them as a piece." On Thursday Robbie Williams announced he would be rejoining former bandmates Mark, Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Jason Orange.
Robbie, who became a solo star in his own right, has signed a one-year contract with Take That.
They are planning a new album which will be followed by a stadium tour next summer.

Mark Owen's secret lover opens her heart about their on-off five year affair
Gary looked pensive. Howard gave the thumbs-up. Jason declared life ‘wonderfully strange’, Robbie giggled and Mark Owen smiled and said it was ‘like a dream’. Across the country, women in their 30s offered up small prayers of thanks.
Not so long ago, Neva Hanley would have shared the upbeat mood. She would have looked forward to the new tour and the VIP tickets she would inevitably secure. If friends asked, she would tell them she knew one of the backing dancers. It always worked before. Then, she would hover on the sidelines and wait for the telephone call asking her to her lover’s room. But that was then.
Today, the 24-year-old views the coverage of Take That’s reunion with dismay. In March, it was revealed that Neva and married father of two Owen had conducted a five-year affair. While he had publicly courted his now wife, Emma, he secretly bedded Neva.
In fact, he admitted, there were ‘at least ten’ other women.
In the aftermath, Neva fled the country, working for a charity in India. She returned to Britain only on Monday.

Take That & Wives
Take That Want Families To Join Them On Tour?Reports suggest Gary, Robbie & Co will bring their wives on 50 date tour...
The newly reunited five members of Take That will reportedly be joined by their families on a 50-date tour next year.
The band, who announced last week that estranged member Robbie Williams has rejoined the group are to said to want their wives, partners and kids to join them on their biggest tour of the UK and Europe in 2011.
According to The Mirror, backstage creches have already been requested as well as a separate tour bus to house Gary Barlow's missus Dawn and Robbie's other-half actress, Ayda Field.
Insiders told the newspaper: “The boys are no longer youngsters, living the life of Riley and going out every night, boozing. They’re men now, they have responsibilities. And next year’s tour will reflect this more than ever. "
"The families have been consulted at every stage in negotiations so far, and the women are adamant they will be a part of this tour."
They continued: "They won’t be at every venue but facilities – family dressing rooms, a creche and healthy backstage food and drink options – will be provided at each arena."
Following previous allegations of member Mark Owen's infidelities with 10 different women, the pint-sized singer is said to be keen for his wife Emma to join him on Take That's latest road trip.
The source added: “Mark wants to be really close to his family throughout the album promotion later this year and next summer’s tour, so a lot of the ideas were his. Obviously he has a lot to prove to Emma, but he is determined to do it. It’ll be a real family affair.”
Owen's ex-lover, Neva Hanley has since blasted the Shine singer telling the Daily Mail: "He made his choices. When everything came out, he just threw me to the lions. He didn't even call to see if I was okay."

Take That take Glasto
AS if this week's TAKE THAT and ROBBIE WILLIAMS excitement wasn't enough, I've got news to make you scream.
The newly-restored five-piece are in talks to headline Glastonbury next summer.
This would seal the band's mega comeback and see them achieve their lifelong dream of playing the festival.
It would clearly be the gig of the year. But Glasto also has special significance as Robbie quit after his "lost weekend" there in 1995.
At the moment, the plan is for U2 (with a hopefully fit Bono) to headline Friday, TT on Saturday and RADIOHEAD on Sunday.
Last night a source said: "There's a lot of logistics to sort out but both sides are desperate to make this happen."
I can also reveal that the band are preparing to add even more dates into their comeback calendar after massive demand from fans. My insider added: "We're preparing to increase the tour to a scale never seen before. We think there will be more dates than Michael Jackson would have played.
"People are talking about the lads being seen by 50million plus people worldwide which would smash all known records for audience numbers."
There's also talk of them giving away some music online.

Take That approached to open the 2012 Olimpic opening ceremony
Less than 24 hours after announcing their reunion, Take That have been approached to perform at the 2012 Olympics opening ceremony.
The lads would play to a TV audience of about four billion people.
It would net the band – Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Howard Donald, Robbie Williams and Jason Orange – £2.5million as well as further sponsorship deals.
An informal approach is understood to have been made by the Olympic committee three months ago – before the band officially announced the comeback.
The Games’ artistic directors, Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle and theatre producer Stephen Daldry, are believed to be behind the approach.
They are keen to take advantage of the band’s widespread appeal.
But it is understood that a contract would only be signed after Robbie, 36, pledges his future to the band and following the release of the group’s new single and album in November.
A source said: “When rumours surfaced about a possible reunion, the committee immediately added Take That to the long list of possible performers.
“Since Danny and Stephen came on board, this list has been shortened and informal discussions held with the group’s management.
“At present, Robbie is only on board for a year, but that’s to reduce the pressure on the group. The belief is that this will be a permanent move and he will therefore be available for 2012.
“It is a huge honour for the boys and will see them playing to a phenomenally big audience. Everyone is confident they are up to the challenge.”
If the group get the deal, it would be the biggest coup in their 20-year history. The budget for the opening ceremony at the Games is £40million.
There will be a host of spectacular pyrotechnics and aerial acrobatics as well as massive names from the pop world.
The Spice Girls, Paul McCartney, Leona Lewis and The Rolling Stones are among those who are also thought to be in with a shout of appearing at the event.
Several surprise acts are also expected to be announced and the ceremony at the Olympic Park in Stratford, East London, is likely to attract a bigger TV audience than the showpiece at the 2008 Beijing Games watched by almost four billion.
Take That’s fans were already celebrating yesterday after news broke that Robbie was rejoining the band and taking part in a 50-date tour next year.
The group’s official website went into meltdown – receiving 48,000 hits in an hour – and the comeback single is expected to be the most pre-ordered download track in chart history.

Jason Orange demoted to fifth favourite Take That member, again
Williams is rejoining the band which reformed in 2005 for artistic reasons, citing a lack of musical differences that left him with no choice but to rejoin the band.
The singer said he was “embarrassingly excited” about reuniting with his former group explaining, “there are not many overweight thirty-six year olds who get to join a boy-band, so I’m absolutely made up.”
“This is an amazing opportunity for me to spend a lot of time with people I don’t like very much for the sake of millions and millions of Take That pounds. Fans. Sorry, I meant fans.”
Change
However, the move has demoted Jason Orange from his recently-held position of fourth most popular Take That member, a role he has made his own over the last few years.
There are rumours that such a demotion might even force Orange to leave the band, a move which would make absolutely no difference to anyone at all.
A band insider explained, “Jason has got used to being the fourth most popular member of Take That. It’s how he introduces himself at parties. So this is a kick in the teeth.”
“There’s a big jump down from fourth to fifth. It’s like missing out on the Champions League by one place, to put it in terms non-Take That fans might understand.”
“Leaving is something he’ll have to think long and hard about though. He got left at a service station in 2008, and the boys ended up doing four gigs without him. No-one noticed.”
O2 vs. Wembley
Wembley Stadium and the O2 arena are locked in a £15million battle to host the London dates of Take That's reunion tour.
Robbie Williams officially rejoined the band last night during an announcement which revealed plans for a new album and 54-date tour.
Take That's promoters SJM have yet to decide on the venue for their London gigs next summer, which are expected to attract hundreds of thousands of fans.
The O2 arena, capacity 23,000, is believed to be interested in offering the band a residency, similar to the This Is It tour Michael Jackson was due to begin before his death last year. But Wembley can offer a 100,000 capacity. It is thought up to 300,000 fans would see the band in London alone.
Mark looks happier than ever after Take That announcement
Mark Owen stepped out today looking happier than ever following the announcement that Robbie Williams would be rejoining former band Take That.
The 38-year-old singer, who wore a summery blue striped cardigan with jeans and boots, looked excited as he waved to fans in Clapham, south London.
Last night, Robbie confirmed he would be making Take That a quintet once again as he rejoins the group for a £50million album and tour next summer.

Los rumores son ciertos ...
Take That: la banda integrante original
Robbie Williams rejoins Take That for album and massive tour
SUPERSTAR ROBBIE WILLIAMS told last night of his joy at rejoining TAKE THAT - saying: "It feels like coming home."
The pop sensations finally confirmed they are a five-piece again and revealed they are recording a new album as well as planning a huge stadium tour.
Working together again is expected to earn Take That a massive £15million EACH.
Robbie, 36, devastated the band by quitting in 1995.
But now the bitterness is history and thrilled Robbie admitted yesterday: "I get embarrassingly excited when the five of us are in a room."
The album, due out in November, will be the first by Robbie, GARY BARLOW, 39, MARK OWEN, 38, HOWARD DONALD, 42, and JASON ORANGE, 40, since their 1995 No1 Nobody Else.
And The Sun can reveal the band will reach out to a world record THREE MILLION people on their epic 54-date stadium tour next summer.
We told on Monday how they were planning a big announcement about new material this week. And yesterday's official album confirmation sent an army of fans into meltdown.
[...]
Take That and promoters SJM, run by the band's close pal Simon Moran, have developed an ambitious tour masterplan, involving the biggest stadiums in the country.
They will play a string of nights in each venue, including Wembley, the City Of Manchester Stadium, Murrayfield and the Millennium Stadium.
There are no plans beyond this tour and album.
Take That's last tour, The Circus Live, sold out in minutes - and despite adding extra dates, some fans still could not get a ticket.
A source said: "Robbie has some commitments with Live Nation and a couple of appearances with Gary for the new single lined up.
"But after that, Take That's creative tour team will be working on the biggest show they have ever put on.
"Kim Gavin, who has worked with Take That on all their spectacular tours, is already briefed and ready to start coming up with amazing ideas."
The first batch of six songs from the new, as-yet untitled album, were recorded last September in New York. The boys used the cover of Mark's stag do as an excuse for secret studio sessions.
Last night a music industry expert explained how reformed Take That are set for a mega payday.
The band will trouser £5million each from record sales, royalties, TV rights and endorsements - plus another £10million from their tour.
He said: "One sold-out stadium will gross £2million for the band. Costs will swallow £1million per show, but after fifty dates the lads will be left with at least £50million."
[...]
Take That and Robbie have an incredible track record.
Between them they have sold more than 80million albums, played to more than 14.5million people live, won 19 Brit Awards and had 13 No1 albums, 17 No1 singles, eight MTV awards and five Ivor Novello awards.
The new album comes 20 years since they first sang live on the TV show The Hitman & Her in 1990.

Es oficial: Robbie Williams regresa a Take That

the rumours are true...
Take That: the original line-up
have written and recorded a new album
for release later this year.
Following months of speculation Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Jason Orange, Mark Owen and Robbie Williams confirmed today that they have been recording a new studio album as a five piece, which they will release in November of this year. It is the first time they've recorded a full album together since the release of their number one album 'Nobody Else', back in 1995.
'Getting the five of us to be in a room together, although always a dream, never actually seemed like becoming a reality. Now the reality of the five of us making a record together feels like a dream. It's been an absolute delight spending time with Rob again. But I'm still a better footballer' - Mark Owen.
'I get embarrassingly excited when the five of us are in a room. It feels like coming home' - Robbie Williams.
'Flippin' brilliant, absolutely brilliant. I'm over the moon that Robbie's back with us, however long it lasts. I just want to enjoy our time with him. Life is beautifully strange sometimes' - Jason Orange.
The reunion of reunions took place in New York last September, following Take That's record-breaking 'The Circus Live' tour. Shortly afterwards all five of the original Take That secretly wrote and recorded the six songs which would set the foundation for the forthcoming album.
Since then the band have been hard at work finishing their new, as yet untitled, record, which will be released through Polydor Records in November. The album has been produced by Stuart Price.

Take That to reveal return of Robbie Williams
Singer Robbie Williams and Take That have recorded a new album, the band will announce later.
It is the first time all the members have worked together since Williams quit the group 15 years ago.
The remaining members disbanded in 1996 but reformed in 2005. Since then, they have had three number one singles and two sell-out tours.
Last month, Williams announced on his website he was releasing a single with former bandmate Gary Barlow.
Shame, co-written by the pair, is due out on 4 October and will also appear on Williams's greatest hits album, In And Out Of Consciousness.
In a statement on his website, Williams said the album was "not only a celebration of my past but also a bridge to the future".
"The fact that part of the future includes a name from my past makes it all the more poignant for me."
Williams launched a hugely successful solo career after leaving the band in 1995.
The star, who was presented with the outstanding contribution award at the Brits earlier this year, has had eight number one albums in the UK.
Exclusive footage of the band back together will be shown on the BBC News at Six later.

Back to normality: Mark Owen and wife Emma put on show of unity in matching trousers for shopping trip
The pair, whose marriage was rocked in March by Mark's revelations that he had repeatedly been unfaithful to his wife, looked happy and relaxed as they stepped out in London.
Mark and Emma even wore virtually identical grey trousers in a bid to show their relationship is stronger than ever.

Mark, 38, has been in rehab after admitting his extra martial dalliances were down to his long battle with alcohol.
Immediately after news of his affairs broke, the couple separated and Mark admitted himself into rehab at The Priory in Roehampton after confessing he'd had a serious drink problem for ten years.
However, the Take That star soon said he was 'deeply sorry' for his actions, and is now doing well after a spell at the clinic.
A source told the Sun recently: 'Mark is getting better and stronger every day. He's through the worst of it with the booze, although there's still a long road ahead.
'He's getting on well at home and the studio sessions couldn't be going better.'

Mark admitted to ten affairs in March this year, just five months after he and Emma married in Scotland.
After the revelations, Mark, who has two children, Elwood, three, and Willow Rose, one, with Emma, said: 'I want to do the right thing now for the kids and Emma.
'It's the best thing in the world having kids. I feel blessed and I am really sorry that I have done this to them and to Emma.
'She has done a lot of good for me, Emma has. She is absolutely without doubt the only person I want to be with for the rest of my life.'
