X FACTOR chiefs sure are cramming those themes in - this weekend they're honouring TWO pop giants.

TV Biz can reveal the final five hopefuls must learn a song by Take That PLUS one of Elton John's ditties.

But no Thatters or Sir Elton will be on hand after show supremo Simon Cowell opted to do without a mentor for the second week in a row.

A show source said: "The plan is for the acts to do one up-tempo number and a more ballady one to show off both sides of their voices.

Tracks being practised include Take That's Relight My Fire and Elt's Rocket Man.
